Few upgrades for my MCS 2013

Hey guys, I got my Mini for around 3 months and I got some things that bother me and would like to change:
  • Wheels - Currently wearing 16" wheels with 195/55 runflat tirers which are terrible.
I want to get OZ Ultraleggera 17 [black] with some decent tires. This is top priority for me, but also very expensive [around 2000$ in my country]
  • Coilovers - I want better comofrt and lower car, currently my mini looks like a 4x4
  • I got Remus exhaust but I feel like it isn't load enough for me... What would be the best solution? This is usually pretty cheap and makes a huge difference

From just looking at the plates it appears he’s not in N. America.

Welcome to NAM! (With the growing number of members from other continents, I think we might have to change the name from North American Motoring to World Wide Motoring or International Mini Forums or something...)

For the suspension, see here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...uspension-192/ for ideas, reviews, and comments. You're sure to find something that meets your needs and budget.

Wheels and tires: if budget is a problem, consider staying with the wheels you have and getting a better tire. You could go to 205 or even 215 without any problem, and going non-runflat will really improve the ride. You didn't say where you're from so no idea what weather conditions you need to be ready for, assuming you need an all season tire the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ has a lot of fans. I put a set on my wife's VW, very happy with them. Lot's of good discussion, reviews, and advice here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...and-brakes-36/

Thanks for the link, gonna check it out.

Im thinking about deleting the resonator for maybe more aggressive sound, what do you guys think?

If I remember from my travels, Israel has pretty good roads...but be aware that OZ wheels are light weight at the cost of strength....they bend easily. Deleting the resonator is a common mod over here and the only concern is some highway drone...most people don't have a problem with it.

You might consider your overall goal for your MINI....how do you drive it? Is the overall driving experience (fun factor) your key objective? Is the "look" the most important thing? I'm asking because as I've modded my car, my priorities have become more clear to me....if I had considered this before I started, I might have avoided spending on some mods that I didn't appreciate so much later. For example, I bought some low end coilovers that weren't the best solution for me and I replaced them later.

Lastly, one mod that I always recommend is an insert for your lower motor mount. It is cheap, quick and easy to install, greatly adds to the fun factor (driver engagement by eliminating some lag between your right foot and the engine), and is available on several NAM supporting vendors. I bought the Powerflex version and like it a great deal.

Welcome to NAM!

I think the look and sound are the things that matter to me the most. I'm looking to lower it to look and handle better - but don't want to come over the comfort.
I found those two:
https://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-ser...sert/1838.html
https://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-ser...Bush/1837.html

which one should I get?

I think that for the short term I will do this and the resonator deletion, which both don't cost much.
Later I will change the wheels as well.

I had the Remus Powersound with no resonator. Really liked the sound. Now have a Borla Sport exhaust (came with a resonator as part of the system) which sounded ok, but MUCH better after deleting the resonator.

Hey guys, need some assistance:
I'm looking for some lower springs, that wont hurt the ride much, what do you suggest? Should I install them with original suspension (almost 5 years old)?
Also looking to replace engine mount, what should I order, and how many?

Your engine mounts should be fine, unless you can visibly see cracking and deterioration. Get a PowerFlex insert for the lower torque arm and call it a day.

For lowering springs, you can probably find H&R springs in your area. I wouldn’t install them on the existing struts, though. Get a set of Bilstein B4 sport struts and a set of new front strut mounts, and you should be golden.

I was thinking about B12 Pro with front strut mounts like you suggested.
But I think it will wait after the wheels.
