Noise after fuel filter replacement.

Ok just replaced the fuel filter on my r56 coupe. Before starting the project I didn't have the car running with the seat and cover out so I'm not sure if what I'm hearing is "normal". After doing the job which was fairly easy I hear what I'm guessing is just the fuel flowing through the line. But it just seems loud. Like I said I didn't have the seat and cover out with the car running before starting so I'm not sure if the sound is normal. I did make sure all the new seals were seated before putting everything back together.

Your timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I just now started doing my filter and was searching this forum for info. Here’s a quick vid I just posted after reading yours. Sorry for the vertical video:
Questiin: How did you relieve the fuel pressure before disconnecting the hose on top of the filter housing?

My car sat overnight so I was hopping that would help. I just put paper towel over the hose when I disconnected it. Very little fuel come out, what did was caught by the towel. Worked great.

But by the sound of your car, it's a normal sound I'm hearing.

Yeah, they sound similar. I’m letting it sit over-night just to be on the safe side.

car started right up, no stumble or running rough. Took it for a test drive, drove as is should even under heavy load. Doesn't smell like gas. It just a little noisy.

Sounds normal with that high pitch whine that a pump makes. As long as the top seal is on and no leaks or smells i thing you are fine, you can look at this DIY as a check list to make sure everything else was fine and done right. Also, the pump should prime when you unlock the door or open the door. Like a really quick high pitch noise.

yeah the sound from the actual fuel pump I've heard that's not what I'm questioning it's the sucking sound that's coming out of the fuel filter housing I'm assuming it's normal because obviously fuels got a flow out but since I've never heard it until I started the car with the back seat and stuff removed now I just am questioning if that's normal or if there shouldn't be a sound at all coming out or around the fuel filter housing. But yeah there is no fuel leaks there is no smell of fuel I made sure every gasket was seated properly before putting everything together.
