HELP! MINI real brakes becoming a not so Mini problem

My 2014 F56 recently had the brake sensor light come on. Not knowing whether I needed front or rears (because that would just be too easy) I purchased what was called for on Rock Auto, Auto Zone, O'Reilly and Advance Auto called for: 1308 front, 1309 rear. When I received them, the front pads went on perfect, but the wiring for the sensor had a different connector, in fact all the brake pads that came with sensor had the wrong connection..
No biggie, I ordered the right sensors with proper fit. Then tonight, I went to tackle the rears, and low and behold, the pads would not fit.. they had a rounded part on the pad that goes on the inside of the rotor (the one that holds the sensor) and it simply is not designed for my car.
the numbers are worn off the pads so I can't get a good read on cross referencing the b mw number.. any help?

Anybody else reading this, put

in your web browser favorites folder. It will save you hours of head scratching.

Justa vs. S model, pads are different. Also be aware that auto parts stores and websites often confuse the 2014 with the second gen cars R56 and you will get the wrong part. Happens all the time while I try to explain why the part they are trying to sell me is not going to fit. Usually have to says thanks and move on.

The realoem is your best bet and then one of the vendor sites on NAM usually will steer your right.

you got 2nd gen pads. 1308 and 1309 sounds like the same number reference as G-Loc and Carbotech. 1309 is their reference number for he R56. for hte F56, they use reference GPF56R. if that doesn't help, then just know you most likely got a 2nd gen pad.

Anybody put G-Loc pads on their F56 JCW or S? I know they are expensive but 20,000 miles or less on a set of factory pads is ridicioisly low mileage when you don’t track or abuse your brakes.

i run G-Loc R10's in the fronts and R8's in the rears for the track and GS-1's for daily driving. i just put them on so i don't have any comments on the longevity.
