Want to upgrade muffler

Hello all just writing this post just trying to see what mufflers people recommend. I eventually I'm going to get a new exhaust system but in the meanwhile I want to add a nice deep tone and sound to my car what do you guys recommend

"Nice deep tone and sound" is very subjective. Maybe you could visit your local Mini dealer and listen to some of the cars going thru the service dept. Not all will be stock. Or, maybe find a Mini car club that's not too far away, and attend one of their meetings / events. Main thing is to hear one you like BEFORE buying one.

Also, as I mentioned in your other post --- https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4193500 if you change the exhaust system dia, you'll have wasted money on this first replacement. And, a larger dia will also have a "better" sound --- (more subjectivity).

On my 2011 MCS, I had my muffler shop replace the resonator with a straight pipe. This alone gave me a bit better, more aggressive sound, and I do not notice any drone. This will hold me over until I save up for an Invidia Q300, or a Borla. Oh, if you have pops and burbles, this resonator delete seemed to make mine more noticeable.

That would be sweet, BigBoost, but the state of Commiefornia says that I have to have cats. I am sure there are ways around that, but cost-prohibitive at this point. Happy with what I have, for now. Easy mods, and still mostly compliant.

I have a remus powersound axel back exhaust that sounds awesome. It has a manual valve and I have it fully open at all times. Its not super loud but its deep, throaty, and burbles a ton on sports mode.
