Sonax Wheel cleaner

I purchased this wheel cleaner not to long ago. The solution is clear rather than the usual green. I'm not sure if they improved it or not.

I was doing some reading up afterwards and noticed a lot of people complaining on different car websites stating the product is staining their calipers / calipers losing its colour.

Has anyone personally used this cleaner on a car that has FJCW calipers / brakes? Any issues?

Thanks!

Sonax is awesome...You should also try Car Brite Wheel Acid.

Difficult IMO to improve on something already works better than anything on the market. I've been buying this stuff in bulk for last two years from Phil at www.Detailersdomain.com, and just purchased a big bottle last month.

Since I purchase in the bulk container seen below and pour into smaller spray bottles, I know the color of the solution to be yellow, not clear or green. Then as it works on the wheel it turns purple. Who did you purchase it from ?

With respect to fading finishes. So far, I have had no issues with the JCW red brake calipers or painted wheels. I also follow the directions. Do NOT apply in direct sunlight, and wash and rinse them off really-really good afterwards.

I'm afraid to use this further.

It made the lock nuts on all the wheels rusty.

Those lock bolts always rust regardless.....only thin layer of black anodized.

In our experience, the Sonax Wheel Cleaner is uniquely safe and effective. It's hard to find a car care product that is head and shoulders above the rest, but I think this wheel cleaner is such a product. The other Sonax products are excellent, but not necessarily unique.

I've sold a ton of Sonax and use it on my GP brakes and no staining there. I'm not concerned with it, but who knows why that would happen.
