Three wheeling is fun but I need the traction.

My 2009 Mini Cooper S has an upgraded rear sway bar and it keeps going up on three wheels through hard turns. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Stiffer front springs and softer rear springs if possible. Then play with the tire pressure all around. These cars respond well to tire pressure changes both up and down!

Is it causing problems? As in is the car oversteering too much? Get rid of the swaybar and that will help but you'll have a hard time eliminating it completely

I thought it looked good running around the parking lot a couple weeks ago, honestly I was jealous.

If your Sway Bar is not adjustable, I'd replace it with one that is.

It's OK for it to go on 3 wheels, This happens because the bar is stiffer. You can make it softer, but then you will add back some understeer you had prior to the bar. It's a trade off.

Are you sure you need more traction on the rear? Your car is oversteering too much?

It's not uncommon for cars to lift the inside non-driven wheel when going through a turn very hard. Old VW GTIs are notorious for taking the "pissing dog" attitude, and old 911s will lift one front wheel fairly high as well. I've even seen pics of F1 cars with one front wheel off the ground.

Yea that's what I think. So one wheel is lifting... big deal.

We get a wheel lifting and we just have the stock sport suspension. It doesn't seem to cause any problems.

There is a theory that its a good thing. Keeping one tire happy works better than two unhappy tires.

FWD cars on stock suspension lift tires. It's just a fact of life.

The car that won GS this year at SCCA Solo Nationals.

Lots of RWD cars that generate lots of grip will lift the front tire on corner exit.
My wife driving a BSP car.

With modern tires and suspensions some cars are generating so much grip they are getting up on two wheels. DSP is getting to that point.
