MCS being a pain after clutch replacement. need help**

Ok, so I'm going to be using my girl's account to post this, as there is no point for a middleman. She bought a 2010 mini cooper s and the clutch went out (pressure plate). Anyway I replaced it with a new OEM clutch kit (disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing ect), and everything seemed to be perfect. Two days went by and now it has a check engine light on along with the abs, traction control lights. Is there some type of reset that needs to be done? The battery was unplugged for the entire time it took to replace the clutch.

Then going back over everything I found this plug hanging out next to the fuse box under the hood. Any ideas what it is/goes to?

I'm getting my Mini back in about an hour, I'll check for you. I believe it connects to the master cylinder under the main fuse box or near it, but not 100 percent sure. It's time to clean your engine bay, your Mini would appreciated it.

Wasn't for the op... T/was to the was the engine bay guy. Dude, if you did the work and it didn't work and you aren't a Mini specialist... bring it to one. NOT to a dealer... charge way too much. In Savannah, let me know. I know someone to help. Near Atlanta. take it to Way.

Lol, maybe you didn't read the original post. Everything was working flawlessly, these cars really aren't that hard to work on.

Dug back into it today, found out why the abs/trac lights came on... Wheel was rubbing up against wire :(
Nothing a simple solder job couldn't fix, but the lights are still on. So can anyone tell me if I have to reset the brakes and/or how?

Man, I dug under there and didn't seem to find anything. I do remember it being clipped on the side of the fuse box though, just can't remember if anything plugged into it.

Alright it connects to the front of the fuse box housing, look straight down in the front of fuse box.

Chill, no need for personal attacks. Try to keep the drama out of your posts if you could please.

I looked for the other end of that damn wire for 6 hours when I did the diff install. Apparently on some cars its connected and some it isn't. You can search my posts to find my thread on it. If you don't have anything to plug into it don't sweat. Must be for an option we don't have.
