just cut 3 1/8" inches off the shaft and put a **** back on:

Whoa
That is freakishly low, I couldn't imagine the ergonomics would be too well with it all the way down there unless you had fairly long arms.

msfitoy: that boot looks awesome. did you make that, or is that off of a tt? sort of looks like one. I was looking everywhere for a tt boot, and see if i could fit it on, but couldnt find one. I wouldnt want to copy you or anything, but it does look very very nice.

And my wife thinks our stock height shifter is hard to get into reverse...

looks nice! didnt know tiburons had rubber shift boots! gotta keep up with my countrymen's cars i guess. or not.

still looking for the TT's boot... they are impossible to find for some reason. I had heard that some TT drivers didnt like it, so i would be able to find them, but no luck so far. even ebay had failed me!

Not sure whether TT boot will fit or not. This is the one I used:
