im having a hard time deciding between the m7 AGS-R setup and the DDM racing full setup. has anyone used either? or knows something about each? any ideas would help, thanks alot!

I have the AGS-R and really like it. Only issue has been clearance. With a boost tap adapter(for Forge's BOV kit and/or boost gauge), the AGS-R doesn't sit right. The boost tap adds some height and presses against the bottom corner of the AGS-R. 2 options to fix: Either cut a hole on the AGS-R cover itself to clear the boost tap adapter OR just let it sit on it and get washers to reach the mounting points for the AGS-R. Not a deal breaker for me.

 

With DoS, you can cut your own or buy pre-cut. Check the web site.

I just received mine yesterday (so obviously, top of mind!). Plan to install this weekend. And it's certainly less expensive than the full on DDM.

If you've already ruled it out, then of course never mind.

I have the DDM full racing system with hood attachment. The blow off sounds great! But if I would have to do it again, I'd go for the DoS...

 

I have the DDM RIS. I went this route because I wanted the hood scoop to become functional and I wanted to maintain a semi-stock, under-bonnet look. The AEM wouldn't have worked for me because of its appearance and size.

Upon first glance, it doesn't appear that I have done anything under the bonnet, except for the addition of a strut bar.

 

Where'd you get the gtspec bar from? I've been trying to get a hold of one forever as I have the DDM RIS but everyone's out or won't order them till there's enough demand. Suuucks.

 

I got mine from Vivid Racing. Didn't take too long to get it, but there was a bit of a wait....maybe a month. I ordered mine around this past Xmas.

 

Damn no way...I think I tried them, around last xmas as well, and they told me it would be several months waiting time. Pretty much just gave up at that point. I'm at the point of switching intakes just so that I can fit another strut bar....But I love my DDM in combination with the m7 hood scoop. Always ambient or lower temps when moving.

 

Have you tried emailing them to see if they have them in stock? They respond pretty quickly, as I emailed them recently about upcoming chassis/suspension upgrades.
