Today I had a CEL come on with ID 29.
All i've found is that it could be something with the fuel pump (the engine has almost no power)

MINI is clueless of what is going on and only mod I have right now is not having a CAT but unsure if that could be the cause with some backpressure or something.

Anyone have this issue in the past?

 

Thought I would update this for people searching for an answer to CCID 29.

Diverter value was cracked and needed to be replaced.

 

Thanks. I too have the CCID-029 error. This after replacing the serpentine/drive belt and changing the oil. I had the car lifted on the passenger side for about a week while I tackled the belt change. I have viewed several posts that say its the high pressure fuel pump, some that say its the diverter/pop-off and others that say its a coolant temp switch. Others that took the car to the dealer that said they had no clue.
I hooked my code reader to the OBDII port and there are Zero errors. Just the CCID-029 on the tach.
I looked at easiest next step and removed the diverter/pop-off valve and took a look. I see nothing wrong with it.
Coolant is fine, then engine seems to run fine, perhaps not as peppy so I am at a loss. I guess I'll check around and see where that coolant temp sensor is next.
Anybody else experience this? I'll follow up if I ever figure it out.

 

Well, to keep a really long story short: the vaccuum lines were bulging. Full of oil Turns out the vacuum pump was leaking oil. So after having the vacuum pump and the lines replaced all is well.

 

Got the CC-ID 029 again on the way home from the dealer after having the clutch replaced. This time it was the turbo charger. They replaced it and all was fine.
Crossed the 100,000 mile mark so that's the end of cpo warranty. Also the end of my ownership of a Mini. Sold it last night.

 

I hit a pothole and everything went south, the check engine light came on and I lost power. Its like Im not getting any air
So whats the fix?

 

Well, I would start with a look under the hood. It may be as simple as something got knocked loose. Check your vacuum lines and electrical connections. You have the CCID 029 on the tach?

 

Well after using the scanner, I received the p0303 code telling me of a misfire cylinder 3, turns out the coil went bad, really a pot hole knocked it out.

 

I'm curious. What year is it?
How many miles on it?

may i know which vacuum line that may affect the error code? the passenger side or the driver side? any chance to self check? bcause ive already installed the OCC but still got the CEL, it happens when the high speed n rpm..

hope its not the HPFP..

 

What went out was a coil PAC. I replaced it and it's been good ever since

 

Well, I received the CC-ID 029 three times before I unloaded the car. The first time was the vacuum pump leaking oil into the lines. The vacuum pump is on the top right side of the engine as you face the car. Near the turbo. If you pull the line off of it you will be able to tell if there's oil in it. I believe the vacuum lines go between the engine and the firewall. These are for brake assist I believe. The final time I got the error code was the turbo charger failed. If you look around here on the forums I'm sure you'll find that ccid 029 can be a number of things. You need a special Mini code reader to dig into the error codes - not standard OBD2 like most cars.

Had a CC-ID 029 go on an go off about two weeks ago but cleared.

Finally it stayed on. With all of the talk about the intake side of the engine and this error code . I cleaned the air filter on my cold air intake. And it cleared the code immediately. The tach indicated the no error but the speedo engine light was on for about 5 minutes and then it cleared.

The filter did not look too dirty but the cleaning did the trick.
