Bluetooth & Aux DEAD HELP
My Bluetooth & my Aux are completely dead. When I try to select the phone or the Aux as an option, it no longer shows I have them. The Aux is gone as a option to select. Please tell me it's not the ECU
Which bluetooth do you have?
Bluetooth or Bluetooth w/USB?
If it is Bluetooth W/USB it sounds as if the bluetooh module has become disconnected or has gone bad or maybe the fuse for it is bad and it is not turning on.

Blue tooth & Aux DEAD
Hi,
I have a 08 MCS Clubman with the built-in Bluetooth. I checked the fuse it looks goods. I have 4 audio choices on my stereo. Tuner, CD, Aux, USB. The Aux choice is now gone. It's completely gone. Are the two related? Are there wires near the passenger side foot area??

If you have a USB option on the screen normally then i am hoping you have a USB port under the center stack switches. Yes/No?
If that is the case then the audio for the AUX runs thru the bluetooth module. And in that case they would be related.
What kind of confuses me (and i may be reading your post incorrectly) is that you have no AUX selection but you still have a USB selection. Am i right or wrong on that? It makes a big difference.

Yes, The Aux option is not there anymore. The USB option is there,as is the phone option, but they both have a -- above the word like there is nothing connected. Can I replace the Bluetooth module myself?

You can, but it may not be the module itself: I would suspect a break in the MOST ring.
The MULF is only connected to the rest of the ECUs through an optical MOST ring. If the optic fibers are bent too much, then the light won't pass through.

My wife and daughter drove my car to Vegas, and they told me they were banging on my glove box to get it closed. Could something in that area been affected by this. Maybe a loose connection.

Possible... The ring runs behind the glove box so that it is possible for you to upgrade the car to the multi-disc changer system. When that is not present, then the connector there must have a loop. Maybe that came loose, or broke altogether.
You still have not given us much detail on what radio system you have in the car.
Do you have HD radio, or OEM Navigation (in the speedo), in the car. If you have either of those and they work then it is not the MOST Bus.
Also it it was the MOST Bus then the USB option and Phone option should not show up either on the screen as the radio will not know that they exist.
It sounds more like a bad module to me.
Is the floor near and under the drivers seat wet or damp?

And also back on an 08 model there would not have been an optic loop back adapter on the optic lines behind the glove box it would have been down by the Junction Box Electronics (fuse box) and if a CD player was to be installed then the adapter would have been taken off at the junction box and the line up behind the glove box connected. Or at least that is how all the 08 and 09 cars i have worked on have been.
My Bluetooth is also not working. I have Bluetooth with USB ('08 Cooper S with Premium pack, Boost head unit, HiFi speakers, No Satnav). When the phone starts with - - and then goes to the handset. The USB works, but when listening to the iPhone for 20 mins it goes to USB in the display (no audio) and about 60 seconds goes back to iPhone.
I'd like to check the module. Where is it?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
