Dropped clutch in first gear while parked.

Good afternoon. Leaving work today, just after starting my car, my foot slipped off the clutch while I was parked and still in first gear. My car jolted abruptly from stalling it out. Should there be anything I should worry about in this case? Thanks in advance.

Other than pooping your pants, no..seriously though, I have done this before and had no problems. If you were able to drive away and had no new wierd noises you should be fine!

Yea don't do that with a girl in the car. You won't be getting laid after that smooth move.

That would make the OP's name a bit odd, Miniconcarne.

My wife and I cleaned our first Mini up one Sunday. I washed then started to wax. She did the interior. Including the pedals. Slickest clutch pedal ever. Full clutch drop like four times. Ended up driving barefoot for an afternoon, toe grip on pedal.
It was a two finger point conversation.

No damage to Percy. I think you are safe OP, regardless of gender.

My old English roadster (think Lucas) would diesel when I'd turn off the ignition. Standard procedure was; first gear, right foot on break, key to off and pop the clutch. I've not yet heard of a MINI behaving so rudely.

Just don't slip the clutch a lot. Try and imagine that the pedal is physically hot to the touch. Be on and off it very quickly. Slipping the clutch excessively is what gets people into hot water with the manual transmission on the MCS. Always remember that the car will let you know when you're doing something wrong when you get a whiff of an overheating clutch disk. What a stench
