Newb in need of wheel/ suspension help

Hey folks new here, just leased a 2012 laser blue hardtop, I'm looking to Do some wheel and suspension work but I'm new to all this, I've done some research here and found some really good threads but a lot of it I don't understand yet hence the (newb). So I was wondering if some of you wouldnt mind helping me out here. So here we go..
It's a lease so I can't do any permanent work like dremeling etc etc
I want to try and achieve an aggressive stance that can still be a daily driver.
I don't have a money tree in my backyard either so I'm trying to do this on a budget.
I really like the xxr 527 17x8.25 wheels and I found them on Discounttires.com with 205/40/17 tires for $790 shipped.
I also plan on getting coilovers, probably Megan's since they come with the front camber plates.
I've read that I will need adjustable rear control arm also.. Is this true? And what brand should I go with on a budget?
Will I need spacers and if so what size?
Will I need longer wheel bolts? If so what size?
How low could/should I go for a aggressive appearance but still reliable daily driver.
So that's about all I can think of right now and sorry if these are stupid questions, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Oh and this thread gave me the idea for the wheels I love how the front sits

Well, with coilovers, wheels, tires alone if you do the work yorself your looking at almost 2k. For the stance your looking for you will probablly need adjustable camber plates and adjustable rear control arms which for the set your looking at another $400-$500 just for the parts. I have seen them on Ebay for as low as $160 a set.

First question is really what is your total budget that you are looking to spend? From what it sounds like you could be around 3k plus with everything that you want.

That would help people figure out what type of setup might be good for you.

Also, people will ask you what the offset is on the XXR wheels that you will are interested in.

Check out the 8" roll call thread as well for some information.

As far as the mini that is in the link you posted that is some serious negative camber! Plus i dont think the tire size you mentioned above will give you the stretch look (i could be wrong).

$2,000 is around what I wouldnt mind spending. I just purchased the wheels today for 800 so that leaves me with 1200 to spend, I know the Megan's go for about 900 and the come with front camber plates so I'm pretty sure I can get those rear control arms on eBay for 160-200 and I'm in budget. Me and my buddy will be installing them so I save on labor. The offset on the wheels are +25
I'm hoping for some sort of stretch.. I've read that anything lower is a really harsh ride.

Man are you screwed. 17x 8.5 with a offset of 25mm? Good luck with that.

The stock 17's are 7" wide with an offset of 48mm. You are trying to fit a wheel that is 1.5" wider and will stick out almost another 15/16's".So the wheel will stick out 15/16's" + another 3/4" (1/2 the width of the wheel increase)

Congratulations, you just screwed up the ride and handling of your leased car.

Oh, and spacers REDUCE the offset even more so that's not what you want...

You know there are ways to warn the OP about possible problems and drawbacks (which I agree there are) without being so nasty.

I don't think I was being nasty.

The OP says he's a newb. fine, He did research? That's where I start having a problem. What research would ever turn up a recommendation of a 17x8.5" wheel with a 25 offset?

The link shows a car with stupid wheels, tires and owner. Just because you can, doesn't always mean you should... Stanceworks rules!!!

All it takes is one hard corner, the tire comes off the bead, he slides across the line and takes out a small family. There really is a reason tire companies tell you what wheel width works with what tire size. Stretch and poke is stupid and dangerous.

Personal injury lawyers love clear cases of culpable negligence.

Then he mentions Megan coilovers? Since they come with camber plates... Complete and utter junk.

I'll check back in 6 months and see how that's working out for him.

Seriously richard? I've been running megans for two years now without problems. If you don't like my wheels, then why bother commenting? OP asked to see the wheels on another car, and thats why i posted. I wasn't looking to be scolded on the negatives of running a stretch or poke.

I'm fully aware of all that can happen, and I'm fine with it. Theres a chance i could drown in my pool this afternoon, but im still gonna go swimming. Its not a racecar, so take your opinion and gtfo

Also, was the lug conversion necessary?

I dont have spacers at all. And the lugs are a yes and no answer. Your stock bolts wont fit, but you can buy replacement bolts with a smaller head. I opted for the conversion just because i wanted red lugs

ok cool, would you happen to know where i can find smaller head bolts in the right size? i checked a few places and they all seem to be the same sized head but different lengths

I'm interested to see how they fit with that stretch - according to the wheel offset calculator (see link below), that size (17x8.25) with a 25mm offset will poke 39mm, which works out to 1.53". You definitely shouldn't need any spacers, or they will poke that much more.
