Anyone tried LUCAS Deep Clean fuel system cleaner?

I usually run a can of Seafoam through my MCS ever few months just to try to keep the injectors and fuel system clean. I heard about some new stuff that LUCAS just came out with called "Deep Clean Fuel System Cleaner". Has anyone tried this stuff? It's the same price as Seafoam...I'm just wondering if it's any better or worse.

Anyone tried it??

Thanks!

never tried this one, however, tried the regular Lucas fuel system cleaner on my Volvo xc-90 and had to replace the spark plugs shortly thereafter as it burned out several plugs. the fuel system cleaner recommended by my mini tech is Cheveron Techron and this is what Mini sells under their name for a much higher price. I have an '09 MCS and the tech recommended techron every third fillup.

I would stay with sea foam because people have used it and test the snot out of it. Check out http://www.bobistheoilguy.com it's a great forum about oil, fuel and all that good stuff.

I've never been impressed withLucas products. Best injector cleaner available is the BG 44k.

I use the Chevron Techron about every 3000 miles but I couldn't tell you if it actually does anything. I wonder if it helps being the cars are direct injection. I run it through anyway and also I have an oil catch can hooked up for the valves. I've got almost 65K and never had any issues with stumbling or stalling.

I guess I will go against the grain here, and say, I have nothing but great things to say about Lucas products! I put a bottle in every oil change on my last four vehicles, and have never had a fouled plug or any other ill effects!

Dont have any experiance with Lucas but, I have been using Chevron Techron for years and have always had great luck with it. Just put a bottle in my sons Acura TL the other day for a rough iddle. Smoothed it out after just a half tank. Wonder if its the same Lucas "the prince of darkness" lol. Old Brittish car joke: Anyone know why English guys drink warm beer? Because they all own Lucas refrigerators!

I have used Lucas fuel injector cleaner in my Mazda B3000 (1999) since I bought it and have never had an issue with Lucas. I don't know about their deep clean product, however.
I use the Techron in the Mini since Mini suggests it.

I have got proof Seafoam works. I just have not had the time to get the finish photos yet. But when I post up about it it will blow peoples mind. Give me about another week and I will set up a thread for it.

Porthos....I haven't heard anything negative about Seafoam. Most reviews I've read are positive so I'm sure it works. I'll probably do it this Spring just to see how much black smoke I can blow out my butt.

I've used Seafoam for years.....in small motors like my weed eater and lawn mower, to bigger ones like my boat and mini......and there is no question in my mind that it works. I've had motors that won't even idle...and then after a can of seafoam and about 20min, they are idling smooth as can be.

My original post wasn't to try to discredit seafoam...not really sure why this thread started going that way. I'm simply wondering if anyone else has tried the Lucas Deep Clean stuff. It seems to work great in my mini, but seafoam has also. Lucas is a huge company, I'm sure they put as much or more R&D into their products as the company that produces seafoam.

Everyone likes seafoam, and it works great! But that doesn't mean that there can't be anything out there that "might" work better. That's why I was asking

My motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

But yes, sometimes these threads go astray for whatever reason.
I noticed someone dogged Lucas but I've always thought their products were good. Their deep clean stuff is probably equivelant to seafoam.
