Hey guys I have a 2006 R53 in Hyper Blue with the Union Jack Mirror Caps. Currently I have a white roof and white stripes. I have been contemplating for a while to go with the JCW Chili Red colored roof to in theory create a Union Jack themed paint combo. Just wondering what you guys think about doing something like this. I attached a picture of my car as it currently sits. Thanks in advance for your comments.

 

Vinyl wrap is one answer, it won't be as expensive as painting, and if you decide you don't like it (or the person you later sell it to doesn't) then you just peel it off and you're back to where you were - easy peasy.

 

Personally I don't think it would look very good. I know the new JCW have the red roof but I think having red, white, and blue (USA Yeah!) would be a bit too much. If anything I would just get a union jack vinyl for the roof.

Look at your picture then put a red pen or object where the roof is. Just looks too busy for me personally.

 

Yea being too busy was always a worry myself. Just wanted to see if it was just me. I toyed with body color as well, but I like the contrasting you get with the white roof or black roof on the MINI's. I think I'll probably just leave it alone for now.

 

From the looks of your garage though, if you do it and it looks bad you could always drive your other MINI
