Another Funny story.

So i went to my friends house tonight, they don't like my car, they think its a girl car and its "gay". So they thought it would be funny to pull their cars super close to mine (it was parallel parked) so i was boxed in. I probably had a few inches on each side of wiggle room.

5 mins later i maneuvered myself out and showed them that the mini can't be stopped by being boxed in, having the stick shift helped too.

Do any of you have stories about how your mini got you out of a tight situation?

Haven't been boxed in at a party yet, usually can sneak my way through the maze. Would have never been able to do that with my boat (previous car)!

Sounds like you need new "friends" or maybe you need to wait for them to mature, become less insecure and/or homophobic.

Glad you got out of the spot without damaging your paint job. That could have been a very expensive "joke" by your friends. I would have just called and paid a guy to tow their cars.

Nah, OP is alright! You can't drive one of these cars and not be able to handle a little ridicule or practical joking now and then. Life is too short to be uptight. Doesn't make them bad friends. We are only hearing one aspect of their personality.

That said, you know what they say about people who are quick to label something, someone gay....

You could have pulled the Civic move and Pulled the Ebrake and then burned out and slid the front of the car out into the street then left.........

Which brings me to the following thought: Whenever I hear or read about "car discrimination," I'm always curious to learn what superior vehicle it is that the criticizers are driving. In this case, I'm guessing something plain vanilla.

After some consideration, I have to say I'm not innocent of this, which contradicts what I just wrote in another thread. But I don't do it openly. If I'm going to prove that I think I'm better than someone else, I'll use more than simply the car that I'm driving to do so. Well actually, I do sometimes define myself by the effort I put into my cars. For instance, I bought my Cooper as a $1500 fixer upper, and I love telling people that, and showing them photos of what I had to do to get it in shape. But I don't criticize someone for dropping sticker price on a new one, and having it dealer serviced. Gee, I guess I'm no different after all!

My previous vehicle would've gone right ove rthe top of the car in front. It was a mid size truck on sterroids. Parking was a PITA. The only good thing was because it was a Ford it's trade-in value was pretty good for a truck with 96K miles on it.

I have a friend who gives me a hard time about my "little girly car," but it's all in good fun. I ask if having a slushbox in his pickup makes it easier to drive and put on mascara at the same time, while getting groceries and taking the kids to soccer.

They are not bad friend they just wanted me to stay that night and go hard with the Vodka, I needed to get home because I had to to Carma to get her front number cover replaced today so i said i wasn't drinking they took that as an insult or thought it was funny to box me in, i thought it was funny to walk out of the apartment, then walk in shortly after saying, "ok done! Try better next time".
