Possibly a new mini in the works.........
This past year I rebuilt a 2013 non-turbo salvage mini. It took 5 months to rebuild and hours and hours of painstaking labor. However at the end I was reward with a wonderful car that had 8600 miles on it. The car is in mint condition and drives like a dream. Even thought the Mini is not the Turbo version, the car handle like an exotic sports car. Which comes to my story. about a month my wife used the car to go to work. That was the mistake I made. Then last week she borrowed the car again and cam back with a bigger smile on her face.
At the beginning of the year we purchased a new Honda CRV. She is wanting to get rid of it and get the turbo version of the Mini. Well I just told her to do the research and I will go make it happen.

It's hard to part ways with something you have put so much time and effort into. With my race car (non-MINI car) I've always told myself that I'd park it and let it sit before ever selling it just because of how much time and work I have put into it. I've also had the car for 9 years though, so that may be the difference. Either way, you brought back a MINI from the dead, which is awesome. It'll make a great car for the future owner. What year MINI are you looking to replace it with?
