Do you think a MINI is a girl car lol?
Do you think a MINI is a girl car lol?
I always get told it's a girl car and 80% of MINI owners are female. I just found that fact funny. Convertible seems kind of girly. I think it's a neutral car honestly.
More of the same silly discussion:
Mini...Girly car?!!!
Can a man own a mini?
And I am sure there are others.

Agreed. I rode a Vespa for a few years and it was the same thing. I really don't care what people think anyway.
This is what is cool about the Mini.
I have seen examples of this car that is bad ***, tough and cool, ready to take on Pikes Peak and some that are sexy sweet and feminine. All looking like they where made to fit that role.
The Mini goes both ways. I like to think that my ex punk rock chick (wife) looks sexy in her Clubman.

I had a bumpersticker that I kept on the front dashboard of my light blue classic Mini: "You've got be very secure to be seen in a car like this." Like RKHGC said, it's all about the color scheme, wheels, etc. The MINI goes both ways
I think it goes both ways! I see my MINI as more of a man's car, but I am in fact a girl...however I drive like a man
I wish I could have got a manual, but my husband can't drive one so I am stuck with a CVT (that I take VERY good care of) lol

It definitely has the rep of being a girls car, even though I only see men driving it.
It's all pretty stupid, the only people who think these types of things are boneheads.
I see more men driving them. however the other day there was an 05 or 06 S like mine with jcw exhaust with an old lady who had to be at least 70 driving it next to me at a stop light. she had the sunroof open, some cool shades on, and best part, it was stick! she blasted past me and I was laughin my *** off. even grannies can rock this thing!!
I ignore the haters, cause at the end of the day I know my car will eat their Honda civics for lunch

my last car was essentially a girls car [that's all I saw who drove it] but IMO, the MINI is definatly a melting pot. different ages, races, and sexes drive them! I love mine to death, and my natural defense to people who state this, I say, "driving a girls car means you want to attract girls; if you want a mans car..."
I'm a heavily tattooed guy into weight lifting. I don't give a sh** if some insecure dudes think it's a girl car. They won't be saying that when I'm smoking around their gas hog V8s on an on-ramp.
The problem we get is more people thinking it is a cheap car. Like people think it is under 15k for a loaded mini and when we say almost 30 they look twice. They think small and think of a focus, yaris, etc...
You could easily spec up a JCW to over $50k!
Hmm , well people in my town are very car literate so I have never once been looked at as owning a cheap car, but my last MINI the guy told me he had this problem when selling it, that everyone calling was shocked at the price. Then again, he lived in a big city
Nope. I am also of the mind that the MINI is more gender neutral if you ascribe sex to cars. I think MINI's are cool, everyone I see I wanna get behind the wheel and take it to the limits. However, when compared to some of the American made muscle cars, MINI's do 'seem' less aggressive but it usually has to do with the size of the car and the styling. MINI's/Mini's being English cars do share some of that sterotypical English character of being proper, neat, and sensible. What most non-MINI/Mini people fail to do however is actually get behind the wheel and give it a go. That's where the car really shows its true spirit.
