Euro plates?

What are everyones opinions about europlates on minis? Because euro plates seem to be popular on german cars which mini technically is because its made by bmw who is made in germany. But then technically minis are british. Europlates or no?

English cars have the "euro" style plate too. They look way better than the American shape.

had never even thought of this but now that I think about it, it would look cool on mine. Where can I order one? Also, how would I mount it on the front bumper? I don't have a mount for a front plate on mine - it's not required in FL.

Anyone know how the law works in states that require front plates? My guess is a pretty firm "no way" but I've been wrong before.

It's supposed to be a "no way" situation but I don't think it really is. I've run for months without my front plate on and I haven't had a problem. I'm planning on getting a custom plate that matches my NY plate numbers just in case.

If you NEED a front plate for your state just put the euro one to the side. Or put the euro one on in place of the regular one and put your state plate on the dash lol

Its a state to state thing, I know in Massachusetts the Laws States "You may not have a secondary license plate from another jurisdiction (state or country) mounted on the car."

But most Euro plates can not be considered legal if they do not meet the requirements of the country they come from. I.E mine has the words SWISS MISS on it and it does not match the Mass Plate nor does it meet with the requirements of an official European plate so the state says it is okay to run. I know this because I had a State Cop stop me for having it on the car and when I went to the Registry they gave me a letter stating it was okay to have it on the car.

Other states may not be so generous if two plates are required.

I'm for sure getting a Euro Plate on the front of my MINI when it gets here. It looks so sick!

I have two..

I dont really run them unless at meets or for photos, kind of grew out of the whole thing.

But one says - IHASTURBO and the other CHIKMAGNT (being a cooper is a chicks car). Looking to order a new one that says "MILFHUNTR". hahaha

For like $30 shipped.. I cant complain

I hate the two plate requirement in CA. It never really bothered me before, but the front plate really messes up the look of a Mini.

Mine is due to arrive Monday. it says, "MyboyBloo". Just like in my signature. Now to find a non destructive way to mount the sucker without stickies or tow hitch.

My plate came in, I fabbed a hidden mount for it out of 2 T-brackets from Lowe's, 4 1/2" bolts, 8 nuts, 2 fener washers, 6 self tapping screws and 2 rubber bumpers. I love it and it looks great.

Just don't go with europeanplates.com: very unreliable. Check reviews on this site. Beware.
Otherwise, yeah, euro plates look great, go for it!

Interesting.. both my plates came from them. Were ordered like 6 months apart and both arrived within 72 hours of my order..
