It doesn't look bad at all and the price is reasonable. I did get the CARFAX report to load. looks like it did only 6miles from 8/10/2009 through 3/23/2010....it also seems to have been through a couple of dealers hands....

ya it looks pretty good... descent price but if carmax would negotiate i would get a little off... i like the look of it... definitely take it for a spin and like dannyhavok said try to get a machanic to check it out as well.
It has average miles for the year, but it looks to be in above average condition. This could be a very fun car to own. As said above, it safest to have a MINI mechanic look at it before purchase. Give it a good test drive and thrash it a bit to see if it's tight. Oh yea, don't forget to kick the tires

Thanks for the feedback
So the pot thickens (as usual) ...
2010 Copper Verts are now "5500 Off MSRP" and received an offer from a dealer for 20,500 for this one:

But now thinking that an S is going to be a better value at this rate (pound for pound):
http://www.internationalmini.com/Veh...s-WI/876174163
I am getting away from my wife's primary preference for RED but she's willing to overlook for better value. I also have no preference for option packages since we have 2 daily drivers in the garage that are loaded already, unless you folks think that I def should have one option or another.
I find comfort in that I'm not in any rush to buy right away.
Thanks again for all your feedback.

The thing to realize (coming from a MA), is that the $5500 off a 2010 model represents a few things:
1.) Only worth it on a purchase, because the residual on a 2010 lease is substantially lower.
2.) Your selection of vehicles, colors, options and equipment is going to be drastically reduced to the point of one or two options. For most MINI enthusiasts, this isn't enough You-if-ication.
3.) When you consider the amount a new car will depreciate in a year, getting a 2010 for $5500 off is pretty much comparable to getting a 2011 at $2000 off sticker (which is something easily attainable when buying an in-stock unit and when working with a dealer that offers more aggressive pricing).
Just a few points from my POV. Either way, new or used, do your homework. The onus is always on the buyer to get a good deal. OP, your hard work will pay off when you are happily motoring.

Yes 2010 S's are included. And NO it does not include the low financing - too bad.
