Yeah I did it myself....about 4 hours worth of work... Ugh hahahah.

First I clean the wheels. They are always the DIRTIEST part. I use Meguire's all wheel cleaner and a wheel brush. It can take 2-3 repetitions depending on how much brake dust you let accumulate on there.

I washed it first with some decent car wash and a wash mit. Then I cleaned the windows with window cleaner.

Then a used with Meguire's wax. I have the 3 stage system but this time I just used the "cleaner wax" 1 stage setup due to lack of time and semi poopy weather.

Then I hit all the rubber and plastic trim with Armorall Basic finish Wipes. Those things are great. They are just ready to go!

Then Eagle One tire shine applied with the special foam sponges (they are well worth the 3 bucks).

Then i vacuumed the interior, conditioned the seats (Meguire's), and hit the dash with a dusting, cleaning, and then basic armorall.

That's pretty much it but damn it felt like it took forever :D :D.

Wow! That's pretty much what I thought. When I wash (just wash, mind u) Scoopie it takes about 2 hours, cuz I take my time (when available). It's just sooo cold now, and she's in such an awfully dirty state, I can't stand it! I'm tempted 2 go out in the snow, take over an empty bay somewhere and deal w/the cold (but, that ain't happenin', cuz I can't STAND being out in the cold!)

Verrrry nice job, tho, and I know it was well worth it cuz it definitely shows! PS--Ever notice when your ride is clean it seems 2 drive better?

Looks great. I literally have the same set up, color and rims. I've been using a dishwashing brush for all the nooks and cranies in those rims. I think I might grab a baby bottle brush today to really get in tight.

What camera did you shoot with?

Well guys I got lucky because it's been **** weather here all winter mostly but we got 1 day where it was dry, sunny, and about 55 degrees. I jumped on it and washed her up :D.

Fatherdeth, I am definitely gonna tint the windows and I'm gonna try to get some BBS wheels for it. And I'd also like to try and do a supercharger pully but I am just starting a new job and have been out of work for a couple of months so I need to save cash for a bit. I do actually have the MINI Madness strut tower plates so I guess that is my one "mod" :D :D. Oh and I guess the gominigo "no holes" license plate kit counts too... I was lucky in that the first owner never drilled the bumper for a plate so it's totally virgin still.

j-gregs, Thanks. I used my Canon Rebel XSi and the 50mm f1.8 lens for all the shots.

It is amazing that your front has no pits or chips visible. It doesn't have a clear bra does it?

What year is it? (02, 03 or 04?)

Thanks! It's an 03....but it does have lots of lil chips on the front of the hood and the front bumper.

That's the diffused lighting, angle, and shallow depth of field working in it's favor! :D :D

Nice. I'll second the camera and lens combo. At least two more months before I can detail... way to cold

Nice pics, your mini looks like it's brand new! It feels like forever since I've done a proper detail because it's so cold. Even washes are a treat to the cars in this weather.
