[HID] is this a good deal ?
Hi I'm a new member with Mini cooper regular 2004.
I want to upgrade my light beam ( the yellow light beam is not good enough for driving at night so I wanted a white light)...
Please let me know if this is a good deal / price..

I'm pretty sure that the law requires auto leveling and washer jets for HID to be legal. It will vary from state to state but I wouldn't do it without it. Folks that have them on their cars that are not made for them constantly blind me at night. Tis me, but that is my thought on it.

If you want a cheap, but quality HID kit use the raptor kit from ddm tuning. google them if you'd like.
HID kits are essentially all the same... there really isnt much special from the norm on these aftermarket kits.
Keep in mind, any aftermarket HID kits are illegal on the road. I'm not sure about the whole retofitting legality but simply placing HID kits in your stock housings will be illegal. Even so, many people still do it.
It is up to you.
I am in New Jersey and drive with HID's in all of my cars and haven't had a problem. Keep in mind I am rather tame with the color at 6000k. I am not telling you that this is legal or anything, it is up to your self.
As Curious_George said, that page does make no sense at all lol.

Not really true. The beam pattern is very different with a HID and the auto leveling is designed to dip the beam when you go over a bump so as not to blind the on coming traffic. So, the adjustment is not the problem overall and in many countries you will fail inspection for not having the proper equipment with them (Germany for one). Frankly I agree with them, as I am constantly blinded by people putting HIDs in cars that aren't equipped for them. If you are going to do it, do it right.
