Foot well module is located in the driver foot well. It control most (about 80% of the functions of the car like lights, power, wipers, sprayers, etc.

CAS module = Car Access System - and it is located under the dash pad above the steering wheel. very difficult to get to. It controls all the access functions to the car like door locks, door release mechanisims etc. it also interfaces with the Foot well module to make the car power on as doors are unlocked etc.

Question for you. Why do you ask?

EDIT: both of these items can only be replaced by the dealer as thery are coded to the VIN Number of the car and keys.

Oh, just curious. I was looking at parts on Real OEM, and didn't know what those parts were used for...Now I know. Thank you.

Right now I'm trying to see if I can retrofit powerfold mirrors, and get the ipod interface to work while also having Sirius/HD Radio. I'm probably the only Canadian spec car with HD.

As for the mirrors, I'm thinking the following parts need to be ordered:

1. New Mirrors (Left & Right)
2. New Switch
3. Mirror Module for mirrors with bracket and screws
4. 4 door wiring harnesses

I'm just having issues trying to locate the plug for the Folding mirror module. It's just ahead of the factory amp, but too far to be able to sneak a peek.

It's a 2009 R56 JCW. I got all the Canadian options, and have now started adding the American ones. I added Sirius, HD, Alarm, and garage door opener.

As a Canadian car that does not have the folding mirrors it may not have the wiring in the rear of the car for the mirror fold module.

That's what I fear. I just haven't found an easy way to pry back the panels enough to see. Removing the rear carpeted panel is easy. I just don't know where to go from there. Any tips?

If you check over in the nav and audio section there are instruction on how to get the panels off in a R56. Mine is a clubman so if come apart differently.

You may have to take the rear seat out but I am not 100% sure.

If you can not find the instructions a good person to ask would be Robin Cassidy he has picture of his all take apart for audio upgreades
