does it cost money for roadside assistence?

I have runflats and the front left tire just popped on the freeway. I'm going to be towed for 160 miles. I'm on my laptop right now because the Mini operator is looking for a flatbed tow truck. I would be very grateful for any answers this late at night.

So sorry to hear about that!! Hope you get a truck to pick you up soon!! I thought the roadside assistance was free, but I am not 100%. Also I don't know if maybe they cover so many miles and then it cost. Can you ask the roadside assistance operator? Hopefully they can be more helpful!!!

Hope everything works out okay!

Here is the link to FAQ for the MINI roadside assistance. From what I read so far I think you should be covered. But it is late so you might want to check it out yourself!

How did it work out? Roadside Assistance covers free towing to a MINI dealership, but that might not have been helpful for you at past midnight on a weekend.

My brother picked me up from the East Bay Mini dealership. It was a $1,200 tow that Mini picked up the bill for. I needed to be home & Mini helped me get there. I'm going to write a letter to Mini thanking them for going above & beyond my expectations.

Just curiosity, but did you get any run on the flat or did it destroy the tire when it went?

I drove on it at least 15-20 miles at 80 mph before it was really bad. At 1st I just thought it was a bad stretch of road.

Well, I guess that 50@50 warning is safe-sided, eh?

Did you tear any thing up in the suspension, or is it at the dealer only for a new tire?
