stain on my white sport stripes

I just did a nice detail on my car....
Wash, Clay, Polish, Paint Sealer x2, Wax....

Anyway, there is a yellow stain on one of my stripes that won't come off, any thoughts on how i can clean it?

Take it to the dealer. They might be able to remove it. If you are too late, you will have to replace the detail. You better hurry

I'd first try just letting it sit out in the sun for a few days. Sometimes the sun will bleach stains out of white vinyl.

If that doesn't work, it sounds like you've done everything else to it already - clay & polish - that would take it off. You may have to just replace the stripe.

would it be covered under the warranty? I wouldn't think so, but who knows.

I don't think so, although it never hurts to ask. I know people have had some really random self-inflicted things (scratched interior trim pieces) replaced under warranty without even asking.

I would try a few days of sun though, if it hasn't already had that. I had a stain in my clear bra a while back (from a yellow bug that hit it - yuck!) and after a couple of days of sunshine it was gone.

Where on the strip is the stain? I ask, because some folks have had their stripes replaced because the washer jets drool onto the stripes.

the stain is on the drivers side, about 6 inches or so from the drivers window.... I'm taking the car in for service this friday.... for a whole lot of reasons, so i'll ask whether they can replace it or not under warranty

yep, agree. UV can be used as a tool.
