Question(s) you never dared to ask...

I know this is a rather silly question or I should say questions!

1) What is the purpose of the car key if you already have the auto start key?

2) Is there another way to open the trunk?

1. The key tells the car (DME) that you're authorized to start it.
2. Left hand or right had works, and perhaps your nose if you're Cyrano.

1) That makes sense I thought it was for when I valet my car...?! haha

2)LOL I know that my right and left hand would work but is there another way to open the trunk without taking the keys out of the ignitions?

Isn't there a rubber covered button under the lip above the license plate? There is no other button inside the car.

There is? Perhaps I been using it incorrectly than. How does the rubber covered button work if the keys are in the ignition? Do I just need to push the button than it opens?

I believe you can unlock the trunk from inside the car without taking the key out. Just use the master lock/unlock toggle switch, then have someone open the boot.

What wbarnhill said. Use the toggle switch in front of the shifter to unlock. Then you use the rubber covered button under the lip above the license plate to open the boot as I said. Sorry I did not mention the unlock toggle. I assumed you had already unlocked it with that. There is no button inside the car to actually open the boot. But I have comfort access so non-comfort access may be different.

1. The key closes the windows if you turn it one way after you exit the car.
