R56 needs new brakes and rotors for Dragon any suggestions?

Rotors looking worn - time for new rotors and brake pads. Going to the dragon and want to be safe. Looked at slotted and drilled rotors. Don't know
about the pads. Can someone help a lady out. Really would appreciate the help.

Thanks
Boomer

Pads and rotors for the Dragon.

I would check out the TSW rotors and the Carbotech pads that Autoxcooper has. I have had zero problems with them, ran them last year at MOTD and will be back this year with the same stuff. It made it a lot of fun and I felt completely safe the entire time. Have fun and good luck! See you there!

Click the link for aftermarket rotor options for the r56, for pads I'd go with the carbotechs.

+1 on carbotechs. Talk with Dustin at www.autoxcooper.com. He can advise you. Your choice of rotors and brakes should be dependent on the type of driving you do (from leisure, spirited to autox and track) and also how much dust and noise are you willing to put up with.

I'm quite happy with my Carbotech 1521 Bobcat pads.

I second the recommendation for Dustin at AutoXCooper.com. He is a great guy. TSW does not source aftermarket rotors for the R56, though I hear rumors that the might be offering them in the near future. For rotors, you can look at tirerack.com, they have some nice aftermarket rotors that have just come available for the R56's. (I am assuming this is an S?)

You might also try raceshopper.com, they have good service and super fast shipping if you are in a hurry.

The Carbotech's are great, but they are pretty much custom made so it required a week or two of notice.

I can see all the Carbotech pad lovers in here and I agree they are great, but I run Hawk HPS Street Pads and they are awesome! Very durable, great bite, low dust, and last long!

If you happen to like blue calipers...I'll make you a deal on a 12.2" Wilwood kit.

Stay factory with the JCW Sport Brake Kit!

About $1,600.00 from the dealer with a discount. Installation is extra so find a good friend to help you with the DIY.

ECU reprogramming is required to better regulate the DSC, ABS, CBC and EBD.

brakes

Thanks to all of you for your help. Dustin seems to think my brakes still have enough life in them for the dragon. I will shop for some when I get back. I do like the looks of the JCW brake kit. Looks Good! Thanks
