So how much does this push in HP?

Saw your comment about having to cut the hood in another thread, internal bracing, open a hole? Pictures?

That's a nice looking setup!

How does it run? Does it trip any lights? Have you wound it up at all yet? How much more boost than stock?

Sorry for all the questions...you can't just post those pics without posting some info.

Is that what solves the melting hood scoop problem?

Doesn't look like a joke to me. It appears to be actually installed and functional.

right now im waiting for the tune im running only 8 psi on it, no check light yet,its an atp kit but you better off just buying the turbo and the adaptator plate ,because nothing fits!!!!!u have to make your own intake, but the car pulls verry strong ,the differance is 500 rpm in spool up time witch is nothing the gt 28 rs is great turbooh an you have to cut the inside of your hood

The setup looks like a great start! I'll give those copper nuts 1 week before they loosen and they come off for stainless castle lock nuts and stainless studs. Keeping thermal expansion coefficients matching is critical to reliable longevity.

Are you using a traditional boosted open/sprung closed wastegate and pressure delta blow-off valve setup?

I can't believe there's no CEL yet! I'd think first time you'd go on-boost the fact the ECU can't control the boost or diverter valve would cause an instant limp-home mode, but it appears the ECU is dumber than we thought. Please keep us updated on how the ECU reacts.

Cheers,
Ryan

Ouch...any pics of that?
Kinda sucks that the ATP kit fits so poorly.

The Alta upgraded turbo setup appears to be roughly in the same location...

...which would probably also require some trimming of the underside of the hood. I wonder what's going on with their setup.

Maybe a custom manifold to place the turbo a little lower?

alta is using a smaller turbo but i dont know about there fit,the max they can pull is 280 at the wheel, the gt 28 rs with an f1 trim will spool faster i make 375 hp at the wheel ,im puttlng bigger injector in ,and a 3 inch mass air flow sensor, and hope about 2 weeks for the tune, its not to bad what you need to cut for the hood coulded be worst !!!!but the kit is not a great fit at all

you really need to get forged pistons, rods, crank, all the stock ones are cast

the engine will take 350 hp ,the rods and crank are forged so are the pistons that why that engine makes so much noise when its cold

ive seen the pistons and rods you can c the line where they pull the mold apart. but that would explain the noise

375whp on stock prince engine? I gotta see that dyno! That would be very impressive if it can pull around that number and still be reliable.

No, a 28rs will not make 375whp... Good luck getting to the low 300s. What injectors are you putting in, I hope they're FSI ones this time... And you still wont answer how you know the stock injectors will be maxed out, there are no tunes yet so we don't know IDCs!

And forged rods and pistons have nothing to do with the noise on idle. The FSI injectors are really loud anyway, more likely that and a slight lack of oil to the head when cold.

Don't hate on cast parts, forged isn't necessarily necessary. People going 9s on VW AEG cranks that are cast. Supras have cast pistons. 1.8ts have cast pistons and there are several people in the 600whp range with oem pistons.
