did you have to cut the hood so that sticks through it, or is it just the inner lining?

I agree, a vid of some sound would be nice, but with this kit put into good hands at a quality tuner, I'm sure can put out some major power...

I'm already 205whp with just bolt ons on Dyno Dynamics dyno, I can only imagine what this thing would do...

Apparently spending $30K+ on a freakin' mini isn't enough for us not to tolerate the noise.

I wish mini would get a clue....

Whos your tech and what shop does he work in? If he can say that then it sounds like hes taken apart the prince engines.

Who cares? Cast pistons have been shown to handle whatever you can throw at them- 1.8t pistons are cast, 700hp record, supra pistons are cast, I don't even need to address that. What really matters is how strong they are, and since no one has a tuned really big turbo mini I don't think there is an issue. Furthermore I don't see why there would have been a piston change.

Yeah but if you think anyone is taking your word for it guess again... Still waiting on those data logs you supposedly have.. You should consider tying up all the loose ends you have created before you go opening another can of worms

mtuning3 - where are you from ? It seems you have solely came on here to try and be the first big turbo runner yet you know less about the car than a 6 year old.. Anyways keep the 2 worded answers coming as its hilarious.

You better not turn out to be some art school boy photoshop'n turbos onto his mini

mtuning3 - you do know that people are having a seriously good old laugh at your expense right ? You joined NAM in march this year and have started about 30 threads since and everytime someone comes on and asks for the data logs you say you have you then dissapear for a day or two and you reappear with a new thread about something else, and then you run and hide when someone asks for some sort of data

You might want to pinch that bubble your in and come join reality because WE ARE ALL STILL WAITING ON THOSE DATA LOGS YOU SUPPOSEDLY HAVE... Still none, im sure it was over a month ago you said you had the logs but anyways its great entertainment.

Whats crapy ? LOL
You post to make yourself feel like a big boy, a real boy, pinocchio if you will

Where are you from again ? Where are you getting your tuning done again ? LOL No answers from the wee one who loves to confuse his own opinion with fact.. Keep digging.

Oh really ? So then why dont you post back in one of your many many other threads with the data logs seen as you had them a month ago ? And here we are again, people have asked where you are getting your car tuned and you cant answer. I have been asked this same question and it took me all of 30 seconds to reply saying where - but then again im not on here with some sort of dodgy agenda and i have nothing to hide unlike yourself.. You dont name even roughly where you are from, no decent responses to the people asking you specific things.

Anyways when your all mapped up get some vids and dynos posted...

Sadly...I'm afraid its people like you that make crappy forums.

Maybe post up some info of your lil project. Funny thing is, coopman is doing a GT28 project as well, and has posted continuously about his plans and progress and how he plans on doing everything.

What you are doing has no benefit to the community and forum. People want to learn about your project, its process, step by step what problems you've ran into, and the results of everything. Your 3 word posts do jack ***** for anybody.

Look forward to seeing some real data and posts one day from you.

mtuning is actually from CT, and not only that, he lives in my town...I never seen him around though, however, he lives on the other side so its possible...anyways, just like everyone else..I'm anxious to see his car and see how that turbo is running! Hopefully shed some light for us all.

stock 1.8t pistons are forged...

Mahle 142 is a proprietary alloy similar to that of 4032. Stock VR6 pistons are cast however and 500+whp can be had on the stock bottom end with a headspacer. On a motor that wasn't boosted from the factory to boot.

Is there a ETKA type of program available for MINI's? I'm curious to see who the supplier/what the composition of stock MINI S internals are.

lol steve, lets go on a hunt for his MINI... i have a feeling he doesn't exist.. =p

or a 16 yr old with rich parents, who bought him the car and gave him 10k for his bday so he spends it on a turbo upgrade, then realizes his stock ECU won't "adjust" to it and give him 55psi boost on his stock front mount, so thus he must now increase the diameter of his MAF to give him 60,000x more of air because 2.75-2.5*NOS= MAD air and super turbo powah!

wait wait, lets all guess what his next post will be...

no more than 10 words im sure and nothing relating to HARD FACTS

i'd like to see him at one of the meets or rallys we have here =]

Off Topic, I just had my tensioner replaced due to its collapse because of many cold starts. I'm at 14,000 miles and it just collapsed on me. So he's right, however, its only a 20.00 dollar part and only takes hour labor to replace for all those wondering about non-warranty replacements.
