Just wondering what are people's thoughts or ideas on the Lambo Door Upgrade for the MINI Cooper. Any information on how or where to get them and cost?

yeah see, they make two different kinds though. They have one that only goes up and there is one that acts like a normal door, so if you didn't want to put them up, you didn't have too. I agree though on show car, very niceee.

 

Personally I find the look very hokey. But if it's your thing, go for it.

so if you install one aftermarket, what statement are you trying to make?

btw you can even be REALL rice and only do teh driver's side door, you know, since you never really use the passenger door...lol

 

you would never use the passenger door because after you rice your car out with lambo style doors no one would want to ride in your piece.

i dont think its that bad. yeah it screams look at me but i think the best thing bout lambo doors is that it doesnt scream RICEY while you are driving... its all stealth and then after you park your car... SHABAM, lambo doors.

yeah its ricey, but of all the ricey mods out there for the mini, its at least discrete while driving

 

yeah i agree. i don't think ricey when i see them anyways...maybe becuase i dont see them on hondas and japanese imports on a daily basis...the ricey cars from around me are all diff colored body panels, awfully huge and ugly spoilers, and exhuasts that sound like they are farting. Not all japanese cars are like that, but when i think lambo doors, i think of lambo's and ferrari's not hondas. the thought of having them or even suicide doors sounded pretty cool, and just like you said, its stealth until you get to pop up em up when you park...wow factor...in the end it all depends on how classy the modder is with a mod like that...

Pretty pricey at $1899 and that's for the R50. You'd prob have to call 'em to see if its applicable to the R56. I actually like 'em from a practical standpoint as you needn't worry about someone blocking your driver's side door if they park too close or accidently dinging someone else's doors from very tight parking spaces. If anyone's been to the San Jose City college in San Jose, CA they can attest to how obscenely tight they marked those spaces. Just don't be like this guy if you get 'em....

Its gay! Why put lambo doors on a car that is not a lambo????? Its like when rice rocket put corvette tail lights on their civics, no matter what you do to to the car, its still not a lambo.
