I made my RMW exhaust better...

...with some new tips:

These are some 07 JCW tips. They polish it off and give it that stealthy OEM look. Big thanks to Danny at MINICORSA for making this happen.

Is it at all possible to put stock R53 tips over that? I'm thinking I want a different exhaust soon.

It did change the tone. Make it a little more refined, a little quieter and the R53 tips are way too small. I already tried it.

Well let's be honest, a "little quieter" is a relative term with the race exhaust.

Wes -
It may look like a JCW exhaust, but it sure doesn't sound like one!! Danny installed an RMW header and RMW catback on my car last Friday.

SWEEET!!!

Very nice. The 07 JCW tips have a nice size to them.

Big Howe, it definitely adds some back pressure. I plan on gutting the tips to get the power back. Noise be damned

yes, they fit inside the RMW tips

Can you take a shot from underneath showing how the tips were attached please?

Here's what I just did to mine. I don't know about better (it's quieter for sure, but certainly not better in terms of flow ). JCW from a GP, flattened section removed and a new marman flange installed:

looks ghetto without tips installed

it actually sounds good....very bassy at idle and smooth up top. I can actually here the supercharger again let's hope the extra flow up front 'cleans out' the JCW cans and it gets a bit louder. At least I have plausible deniabilitywith the po-po - "It's stock officer! I swear!!"

You've heard mine. Is yours louder or quieter than mine was? I've been stopped twice in six months time, both on trips to come see you

I think the stroker tends to quiet it slightly.... "slightly" being the key word here

Hey, I didn't copy you, it was that other GP that was there . I know Danny had intended to gut the tips, but he said that they couldn't attach them right if he did. Here's a quick pic from underneath:
