M7 Grilles

Just installed the M7 upper, middle, and lower grilles. I am really jazzed about the way they turned out. The installation of the upper and lower were pretty straightforward, but I had to get out the Dremel on the middle.

Looks good . I just installed my upper one yesterday, they should include one of those cheap flat 1/4" wrench with the kit to tighten up the upper grill screws, it worked great for me.

Those M7 grills are the cutest! They instantly add to the cuteness factor of any Mini.

Very Nice

Looks great.

I'll be getting all three soon, hopefully. My mod list is increasing at an alarming rate...

You ain't seen nuthin yet!
I thought $2k in mods would be a good stopping point; silly me! Now working on $4k.
Will that be enough? Doubt it, but we'll see.

I just bought the M7 grills and cant figure out how the bottom of the upper grill attatches. They have the two screws in the top that go through the tabs up there and nothing to hold the bottom part of it down. There are no tabs or posts to go into the bottom holes where the old grill came out and the pictures in the instructions are all but worthless. All they give you is 3 round clip type nuts, 3 rubber washers, 2 square nuts and the two screws. How does this little bit of stuff attatch all 3 grills. Am I missing parts here? Anyone

if i remember correctly the bottom has metal loops that hold the screws, which are drilled through the bumper.

Not the bottom grill, but the bottom part of the upper grill.

oh, bottom is not held in. just secured by the top. seems like it would be somewhat unsecure, but mine doesnt move, and i pull on it all the time to shut my hood.

I had just got it on when I came in and saw your post and your right . It does not move. Just looking at it, I never would have thought those two screws up top wopuld hold it in place. Having said that, there are a number of holes in the bottom where the original grills tabs went into I think Im going to find a way to put a couple supports at the bottom somehow.
