The final touch... from drPhilGandini
So as an alternative to the Joey-mod, I installed the "Ebay" halo lamps in black. Some work is needed to paint the rings from the original chrome, and the fit is not perfect, but not unacceptable either. The install is "plug and play" for normal and high beams, but the halos require a little extra wiring and splicing into the parking light circuit.
I have to tackle the alignment/adjustment at some point, but they have only been in for less than a day.
I think I have officially completed every external mod available on the Mini, and thrown in a few Gandini one-offs.

I'll post some fancy-background photos soon, but as of now I don't know what to do with myself...

really nice, i thought about getting those before but was concerned with fogging/leaking and fitment. Update this post in a while and say if you have any issues with them ( i hope not! ) but very very slick.
Nice Phil, your car looks better every time you post a pic!
Like Jhud posted above, I would also like to know if you have any issues with them after a while.
What are you doing with your stock ones?

I have had mine on since February. No fogging/leaking issues here. I live in humidity hell Florida also. The thing about these lights is that they are very well constructed. There are slight fitment issues, but nothing that would cause a big concern. Before mine went into my car though, I bought the XPEL headlight protective film from MOSS MINI. If igure for the amount of money I paid for these, I might as well protect the lenses. The only real issue I have with these lights, is I'm still debating on what I want to do with the other lights that are enclosed in them. Right now, I just have the wires tucked out of the way until I come up with an idea. Turn signals would be too repetitive, and hooking them into the parking lights would mess up the whole halo effect.

WRT Fatherdeth's comments--I too have just left the third light free at present. Since I removed the fog lamps to install the brake ducts, though, I have a spare switched light circuit, which I could connect to this third headlamp and switch it on and off from inside the cabin. Mmm, possibilities.
I need to align them though, as I noticed tonight that I am pretty visible from the Space Shuttle while driving along. Ooops.

Perhaps a NAM poll - will DPG mod the exterior more?

Over the years your posts have given you credibility, UP TO NOW.

One of the funnier posts made on NAM.

OK, OK. I repent (repeated n times)!
It's unlikely this is the end but --at the moment-- I just can't see anything to do:
1. Rear wing. I actually like the stock S wing! All the bigger wings and extensions just dont look integrated to me.
2. Rear diffusers. Well, I like the look of the M7 kit for the R56, and if I remove the battery (which is very likely one day) then some serious rear modifications are possible, but till then anything else looks either fake or dicky.
3. Hood vents. Unfortunately my FAD gets in the way of any possible venting as it takes up a considerable portion of the drivers side bonnet. The FAD seems to work so well I'd be loath to give it up for some bonnet vents.
4. Splitter. I scrape so often on my daily commute that it would not be practical to install one of these. Darn it.
Now my car is over 3 years old, I'm about to start the maintenance phase for some of these mods--

That was quick
. In time we will forgive you for that dribble BS post.
I thought so too. I have monster speed bumps in my neighborhood and scrap everytime but what scrapes is the bottom black plastic piece on the underside. I added the M7 splitter and it doesn't scrap - grant it I am careful entering and exiting driveways by going more at an angle to get 1 tire up.
A splitter would look awesome on that car.
