R50/53 newbie
I just picked up a grey/white 2002 S for my wife. She's been dying for one and I thik this is a car she'll still like in a few years.
Seems to have almost every option: Sports, Premium, Cold Weather, etc. I cant' figure out what the little button under the hand brake does, though.
Fun car. I need to borrow it often

It's dark silver with the white top, mirrors and 17" rims. Going through the invoice, the nly thing it doesn't have is the proximity sensor, the NAvTech computer and leather. I keep finding more options that it has...very cool little car!
No, the button isn't for the mirrors, it's located directly below the base of the handbrake. The picture on the button looks like the light for the tire monitoring; but, it's doesn't seem to do anything.

What 8ball didn't say (though he implied) was that the button is used to reset the flat tire monitor. I believe you need to depress and hold it for a set amount of time. It will cause the flat tire monitor light to illuminate and remain so for a little while as the computer takes in tire rotation data and sets new parameters from which to determine that a tire has lost pressure.
Remember however that the system works based on watching for a sudden change in rotation of one tire relative to the other. This means if you could gradually let the air out of all tires until they were flat and the system would never know. So it does not substitute for regular tire pressure checks.
Anyway, WELCOME and have fun!

Vik-- Your car's a beaut! My MCS is DK/DK, it's a great color! Drove 220 miles today and 30 miles in, my tire pressure sensor lit up. It flashes yellow by the speed-o-meter. This has happened before (I have 26,000mi) so I did not flip out. The last time it came on, the car continued to handle fine and I pulled into a tire store, they put a plug onto the tire. This time I pulled into a gas station, filled the tire, then reset the tire monitor. It did not come back on, so I must have a slow leak. I'll get it fixed soon. My run flats are Dunlop 16" and I have very little wear. At my mileage and driving habits, I am happy with them.
