The C6 Corvette would surprise most people for getting 26 mpg hwy (although only 16 mpg city).
Here's a list of two seaters and their EPA rating. You can search for other classes of cars on there as well: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bycla...ters2008.shtml

Not sure what you're asking here. Particularly, what does "most performance over car" mean?
You could do something like Car & Driver or Road & Track used to do (don't know if they still do it), where they would take a bunch of objective criteria like price, 0-60 time, skidpad acceleration and fuel economy, and then come up with a complex formula using all those variables to determine an "overall" rating for the car.
Of course, deciding how much weight to assign to each measurement is a purely subjective choice, so the comparisons were more for fun than anything else. After all, if you're one of those magazines and are sitting on years' worth of accumulated test data, you may as well do *something* with it, right?

And your name is "import fan"?
First Google match for "Fit Sport": http://automobiles.honda.com/fit/price.aspx
I'd put a Mazda Speed 3 up there on the list. 263 hp, 280 tq. 20/28 mpg.

I saw an Insight that a well-known drag racer modified to run really fast, something like in the 9's or lower. Of course this was not on an Insight engine. Pretty crazy sight, although with the internet these days there's too many crazy cars in drag races.
How about a Tesla?
http://www.teslamotors.com/
135mpg equivalent, 0-60 in 3.9sec, 248hp
Not bad specs.
