Anyone care to meet for lunch on Friday, Aug 1? Say around noon at the George and Dragon on Central?

Since I'm leaving town on Saturday, I figure I might as well try to organize a lunch to meet a some of you guys.

 

I'll be in the downtown area that AM getting my Kosei wheels removed and my new wheels installed (16th Street & Thomas). I'm not sure how long it will take because I had to schedule the time to get in, and that was the "soonest" I could, so it appears they're a very busy shop.

 

I would but I won't be anywhere near there on friday...

always looking for new shops...best mod I made was replacing with 16"...of course the Goodyear runflats were atrocious & replaced as well....good luck !

You could try posting this in MiniUSA and MINI2 also. Might get some more responses.

 

Who knows, I might need a lift. The tire place took delivery of my wheels on Monday and can't get me in until Friday. So with all the things happening on Friday for me, I requested the day off. I'll be available all day.

The tire place is called Bavarian Motors. Recommended by tirerack.com's Alex. I bought the wheels from TTR and had them shipped directly to Bavarian Motors to do the swap over of the tires from the Kosei rims to the new rims.

We met at the George & Dragon today and enjoyed a lunch despite the bad service there.

Owners were (from left to right below): Dominic (nice wheels!), Brandon (he even brought Spiderman), Carrie ("is this photo going to be on the internet?", Candace (you should see her headliner... amazing), and Gerry (along with my wife Sandy who took the photo):

A couple of weeks ago when we went to Tombstone, three BRG MINIs were in attendance. And Candace's BRG MINI wasn't with us. I feel this weekend we'll have many BRG MINIs going up to Show Low and Payson. Only time will tell. I'll post some pix on Sunday after I recooperate.

 

It was fun! I was finally able to meet everyone. I wish I could make it on one of DoMINIc's road trips but he seems to plan them on days which I can't go. Hope to make the nest one.
