Newbie needs tire/rim help

Picked up a 05 MCS last night and the front tire has two bubbles in the side wall. It is at the shop right now and I need to make a decision soon.

Is now a good time to switch to non runflats? If so, what do you do for a spare?

If the sidewalls are bubbled, you should probably replace them. One vote for non-runflats here. You can get flat tire repair kits that are compact and fit in the storage compartments in the boot.

Non-run flats and Tire Slime for emergency repairs. DO NOT use Fix-A-Flat! Fix-A-Flat coats the tire with "stuff" that seals it but makes it impossible for a repair patch to stick. Slime washes off with water.

Will the slime mess up the pressure sensors on the new R56?
