R56 30mpg from MCS manual
Yep, the EPA figures aren't real world tested but algorithim based so if you get them you are generally doing very well. 30mpg is about what I get on my 05 MC so if I can get that with the new 07 I'll be very happy.
it really depends on driving style and what type of driving (mods if any) how hot it is, AC vs window usage, blah, blah, blah...
I'm getting 31-33 typ. hwy in an R53 manual (which supposedly has worse mileage than the R56). I've seen 35 highway (for the tank) when I was stuck behind a tractor-trailer on 80 going through PA.

I just returned from my first 'real' trip with my MCS 6 Speed - 1900 miles. My average was 32.8 mpg and that included about 2/3 highway and 1/3 small town driving. I didn't look at my average MPH after the trip though.
Before the trip I was noticing ~29-30 mpg mixed driving.

seems your average speed is really important to the MPG result. I also think the sport suspension and the tires you have will affect it, too.
And, of course, if you drive it like you stole it, which I seem to do... I'm running consistently about a 25avg mph and getting about 24mpg.
I'll blame the 17" runflats for now... <grin>

I just filled up for the 1st time yesterday and my MCS with 400 miles on it got 28 mpg, with mostly city driving. My last car (Nissan Xterra) got 16 mpg if I was REALLY gentle with it, so 28 mpg is not too shabby if you ask me!
From what I hear, the gas mileage increases a little as the engine gets broken in. Works for me!

I've been tracking mileage on my 2004 MCS since new, now about 20K miles: 24.1 mpg overall. It gets about 21-23 around town and 29-31 on the open road at typical freeway speeds (65-75). I do more around-town, so my overall is nearer the first.
Everything I'm reading says the Gen II should do about 15% better, so if I bought a new one, I suspect I'd get about 25/34. Certainly not good enough to justify getting a new one, but definitely something to factor in.

It is what it is. Just don't rely on the trip computer. Divide your trip odmeter miles since the last fill-up by the number of gallons it just took to fill the tank. Adjust that number as necessary if you notice the trip oddmeter to be inaccurate.
