Is anyone else on the Otello (WW) leaving Southhampton 8/7/07??

I just found out (literally 2 minutes ago) that my baby made it on the ship. It arrived at the terminal yesterday, and I thought it'd be tough for it to make it, but it did!! Mine will get off in NYC and then head up to RI.

Not sure yet if it's a boy or a girl, but I have some names for either way. I can't wait to meet him or her so I can decide on one!!

Does anyone have tracking info for the ship? I noticed it left the port already...

The Otello does not seem to have any history on sailwx.info, so you most likley will not be able to track her well at sea.

Mine was built on Aug 4 as well but did not show up on WW Tracking site so not sure it's on the Otello. How did you check yours?

Same way. Go to the site, put in your VIN, and it should tell you what ship you are on. If nothing comes up, then I would assume you are not on a ship yet.

Taliesin - Yeah I just waited (and kept checking multiple times per day) until the WW site recognized my VIN. Until then you don't know if yours made it. If yours is heading to CA it wouldn't be on Otello though...my is heading to NY

 

Yes, that is true. I'm on the Otello. It's going to Canada first, then NY, then MD, then SC, then GA. It's not supposed to hit MD until August 18th so I will wait until then to check again. No sense in getting myself all worked up about it. Mine has to sit at the VDC anyway to get the JCW Aero kit installed. I'll probably call my MA sometime after the 18th and get a heads up as to it's arrival.

 

Update...I just figured out that I'll be dropped off in New York/New Jersey, not Baltimore, at the NEAT (NorthEast Auto Marine Terminal) on the 16th of August ...This is where my Mini is going to get processed.

I think that you can, but you have to use the call sign SBLW. If you do a search on google for 'Otello Cargo', the first link is this page www.walleniuslines.com/doc_upload/otello.pdf , which gives the call sign as being SBLW (as opposed to SCFH, which is what you see when you search SailWX for Otello).

So if SBLW is actually the correct call sign, the ship can be tracked on SailWX, and the status was last updated on Aug 9th at 06:00 UTC (2:00 AM Eastern, if I'm doing the math correctly).

The Otello is in Halifax ...next stop...New Jersey! That's where I'll be getting off the ship! It's getting close, I can almost taste it

At least that's what the OL says for me. Imma call my MA tomorrow and get an ETA to the dealer. Hopefully by the end of the month
