R56 Production Week 31 Support Group

I kept telling myself I wouldn't get all excited and worry about it, but I called MiniUSA today and was told I'm in the week 31 production group. Jeez, I ordered the car on Saturday, June 30th. So it looks like I won't be getting it until sometime in August Anybody else in week 31?

Well I called two dealers today and they are giving me different answers. One says that they can get me in Production week 29 or 30, while the other says the plant is closed week 30 and 31 so the earliest I can get is 32. Still haven't decided which dealer to go with, but it the two different stories is confusing me.

Just wanted to chime in to see if anyone esle is getting production week 30 or 31 and figure out if someone is lying to me.

Hi aem421 + mataku, when I ordered my mini I was told that the last 2 weeks of August was closed for holiday....not sure if that is correct or not. I have no clue what week production I am in. I was told it would be built the week of August 6th with est delivery on August 27th. (mind you I live in Germany but it is a US spec car). Can't tell you if the info is correct but thought I would tell ya what I had heard.....maybe it helps ya mataku or not

Well the lady from MiniUSA told me the car would be built the last week in July and that was week 31. Maybe she got confused. I'll call the dealer and see if my MA has a date.

I ordered mine the same day. I don't know yet which production week I'm in, but I was told it was scheduled for production July 6 (the guy at ASK MINI said that was all the info he had). I'm going back to see my MA this weekend to ask a few more questions and maybe get some updated info.

Just got off the phone with a rep from the number 1-866-ask-mini. I already knew that I was in production week July 15. The rep told me that my car was put into production 7-07-07. Sure hope that's good luck!!! So anyone know what week this puts me in?

Seems odd that some of us are getting the "plant closing for vacation" story, but people are still getting week 30 and 31 production week. Anybody have an explanation?

Umm... that last two weeks of August would be production weeks 34 and 35. Week 30 is if your vehicle is completed July 22nd through the 28th and week 31 is the week of July 29th through August 3rd. I don't see any conflicts there.

LOL... good point. Maybe my dealer is lying to me then, maybe they just ran out of slots and is giving me excuses why it will take longer there than at another dealer. This worries me as I chose this dealer over one that was a bit closer because of better reviews. hm....

Yeah, I confirmed with my MA that Production week 31 is the week of July 30th - August 3rd. He said they could bump it up a week depending on the amount of orders. You won't see anything in the Owner's Lounge until the car is actually in production. All you will see is 'On Order'. So I'll just wait :impatient.

Week 31

Hi all. Just ordered mine on 7/13 and the dealer had a slot on week 31 so here I am .

Delivery should be week of August 20th .... My guess was week of Sept 15 so anything before is a big plus !!! So lets patiently wait together !

I (my wife helped pick some items ) ordered a:

Chili Red MCSa, Premium pkg, Sport pkg, Sport seats to be customized at dealer (two-tone red leather), red color line, anthracite HL, 17" black mesh wheels, white racing stripes (front/back), checkered sun roof and side mirrors, and alarm system from Mini

Yea the automatic is a wife-thing ... but I would not have bought if I didnt like the paddle-shifters and the sport drive button. Makes it bearable :-)

Got the black wheels in exchange LOL

Agree. Traffic and manual is a tedious combo. Used to live in CA with a manual. Painful in bumper to bumper traffic ...

So I think mine is week 31. Or, to be more specific, I was told by ASK-MINI that production would start in week 31, so depending on if you use the start or end of production to determine the week, I may be in week 31.

Anyway, it's a PW/B MC, stripes, dsc, xenon, fog (front & rear), anthracite, cloth / sports seats, mfsw & sunroof.

oh, and a roof rack for my bike.

week 31

I must not be quite as anxious... I did not know until today I was week 31 and have never known I have an MA I can nag . That's gotta be taxing taking calls every day from anxious people asking if their car is done yet.

On second thought, I am VERY ANXIOUS. I'm almost chewing the corners off the ceiling tiles in my office right now. I've contemplating working part time selling MINI's. I catch myself almost selling the car to everyone when I mention I have one on order. I read in the news today that there is major flooding around Oxford, England and my first thought was, "is this going to push back my MINI's shipment?" I had to squash that thought, I felt pretty awful and selfish afterwards. I can wait , and I hope everyone is ok over there.
