I think I ordered mine the same week as aem421. The dealership I ordered it from told me it should be here August 12th or so. I've checked status an it's now on the boat coming up on the Panama Canal!

I thought about ordering the JCW Aero kit, but didn't. Half the time I regret it, the other half I don't think about it. aem421 and FugitiveAI, can you post some pictures when you get it? I ordered the same color cmbination as you and would like to see what the aero kit looks like. I figured I could add the aero kit on later.

I went for the bonnet stripes and lights.

I think I missed the excitement over figuring out production week, though I've been checking the website almost daily... I had no idea ASK-MINI gave better details than the website! I'm confused as to whether I'm in week 31 or 32... (ordered July 7).

Mine has been in production for the past week. Now it's either in the paint shop (according to Ask Mini) or awaiting transport (owner's lounge).

I was told I wouldn't be able to pick my car up until September or possibly October, but I'm crossing my fingers for early Sept!

Either way, I was thrilled to see the status updates tonight! Still hopping around in excitement

 

^^ If you mean July 30th through August 3rd, then yes, you are Production Week 31. After that is week 32 and so on.

My MA sucks.
I don't know how you all get any information out of them.
I emailed mine asking about what ship it would be on, or any info.
All she could tell me if they usually see the cars a month after production.
Mine was done on Aug 1st, but is just sitting there!

I just did it this morning and it was updated. It tool a few days but today it was finally there. If it's not there, then you probably haven't been assigned a vessel yet. I haven't talked to my MA since I ordered the car......I figure when it gets close I'll give him a call.

you can always add the aero kit later. It was a tough decision for me since it is one of the most expensive factory add-ons, but I wanted to go a little more aggressive on the looks; less cute and more grrrrr

 

haha that's one way to put it! it's hard to get anyone with answers on the phone at my dealership, so I've been relying on the other sources since the order went in.

 

Wow, looks like I'm week 31 too! I was on vacation over the weekend, and came home to find that I'd moved thru production to Awaiting Transport! Wee!

Trying to guestimate how long it will take between distribution center & the dealership - our original delivery estimate was late Sept / early Oct for Rassmusen, Portland OR. We're intending to sell our existing car for a just in time delivery. There will be a few dealer installed options ~ and heaven help them if they pre drill my front bumper with plate holes!

Yay, another west coaster (Mine's going to Northwest MINI in Tacoma)...has your VIN shown up on the WW tracking site yet? Mine still hasn't...

 

My VIN hasn't shown up on the WW site yet either. Lola was born on 8/1 and is awaiting transport to CA. My guess is it will be on the TAGUS which leaves Southhampton on 8/8. Fingers are crossed...:impatient

 

I've got my fingers crossed for you and me. My baby was born 8/1 also and is head to the Pacific NW and has not shown up on the WW site. One more day until the TAGUS sails.

There are other shipping lines. I checked out the Port Hueneme site today, and looked at the different lines that come through there with car and ro/ro (you should have seen my husband's expression when I mentioned ro/ro[roll on, roll off] shipping!!). The Tagus looks to be the most logical for us West Coasters, and I've been doing the same process you outlined above.

Haven't seen my VIN yet, but if it hasn't shown up by Thursday morning I'm going to call my MA and see what they know at the dealership. I guess they have access to information that ASK - MINI doesn't anymore.

Cool thing-Tagus takes 19 days compared with 21! YAY!

 

Before you call, visit the Mini Owners Lounge. Go to TRACK YOUR MINI. On that page there is a choice to REVIEW ORDER DETAIL. I found my VIN on that page!

Big "D'OH!" I meant that when I put my VIN into the Auto cargo search box, I'm not seeing my VIN scheduled on the boat

I think this is a symptom of NAM lurking into the wee hours of the morning. SO GLAD I'm on summer vacation. . .I can't imagine going through this and having to deal with 13 year olds (besides my very own, that is!).

 

I am a newbie here (1st post!) and am also Week 31...mine was completed 8/4 and is sitting at the terminal. I was hoping to catch Otello, which leaves today, but my VIN does not show up on WW either :( so now it'll have to wait a few more days. Mine's just going to NY though.

Specs: MCS Lightning Blue/White - Premium, Cold, armrest, alarm (anyone else order that?), rearview mirror thingy with garage opener...hmmm...I'm just the most excited about the color

 

I made TAGUS. My baby made it. It showed up this morning. What a great way to wake up.
Anyone know how to track it across the ocean now?
I got the alarm too. I just couldn't find anyone I trusted for the same $$ as the factory.

YES! I just was able to get on the WW site and I made Otello!! Woohoo!! I could have my baby by Aug 22nd!! I'll attempt to track tomorrow, since it says it is still at port.

 

I've been checking the WW site like every 15 mins.
This is becoming addicting.
I'm going to need a Mini intervention.

 

Can anyone confirm which port the Portland delivery is unloaded from? (Or point me to the right forum to ask?)

Glee, I believe that on the West Coast ALL cars are unloaded at Port Hueneme and are trucked from there. That is just what I have found so far...

What is your VIN? If you are waiting for OTELLO I can look and see its status. I can only see the other cars that are ON my boat, or waitlisted to be on it, but if you are waiting for OTELLO then I can have a look!
