Mean MINI drivers who refuse to wave back!

As one of the few Mini motorers down my way, I always get excited and give the "Mini wave" to fellow Mini drivers when I can spot them. But today I did it and the woman just glared at me.

M&th#$f&$ck$r!

Should they even sell Mini's to these people?? They have something for folks like this... it's called a BUICK!

Sometimes i get a wave and sometimes I don't. I'd say 1 in 4 don't wave. If we wave enough to people who don't wave maybe they will start. I find alot of non drivers wave also like people just walking down the street. It is so much fun driving this car.

There's a trendy and hip mid-town 'burb here in metro Detroit [Royal Oak] where MINI's are rediculously prevelant. In that area of town, you'll almost never get a wave from another MINI driver, as most have their MINI as a fashion accessory, not because it's a great drivers' car. To each their own.

Nah, they're not "mean".

They're just oblivious.

1 for 2:
the other day going thru Fort Collins, Co. a gentleman in his cooper pulled up rolled down his window and talked saying my car with the roof rack and cargo carrier was his inspiration to try the same thing & to enjoy our vacation. He saw our Nv plates.

On I-70 we we right next to an 07 cooper and us in our 03S, we were waving but the girl never turned her head to wave at us.

Maybe she was jealous of our "03"

Well I'm going crazy now while passing Minis in whatever else I'm driving. I'm so excited about getting my own that I just can't help it. Of course, most don't even notice me waving from our Ford F150 or the Ford GT500, but I try. Lets just say I'm in training.

I'll be waving harder at all you other local Mini owners soon as I'll be in my own sometime around mid August.

Those who own MINIs and don't wave, or wave back, are simply Obliviots...people to be pitied, not hated.

They don't get it. No one has ever explained it to them. They probably purchased a MINI for it's "cute" styling, or great MPG.

Don't hate them just because they're stupid.

Ignore them and get yourself to a few more MINI club events where owners are nice and DO wave back.

Some people want to be left alone and not seen, not noticed-
Heck, they bought the WRONG car!

Never, ever, ever get a wave back. They're all talking on their cell phones here in L.A. Most we ever got was a glare-back.

To some people its just transportation, not a way of life,so enjoy your Mini and let the others move from point A to point B in their "car".Q

Minihune --- I didn't even realize they had Mini's in Hawaii... Geez, how long does it take when you order a car from out there?

Probably not much longer than to the West Coast, at least some of us anyway (the truck time should be minimal once it reaches port and the added time at sea is probably maybe only a couple of weeks (about what it takes from Southampton to the Panama Canal.) Actually now that I'm thinking about it, it might actually even be faster to get to Hawaii than to the Pacific Northwest. For me, it will be at least three weeks after the ship passes through the Panama Canal.

We always wave no matter what. I've also put the family through wave training . My daughters probably think I'm nuts but who cares. Even if other MINI drivers don't wave back I'm still Ok with it. I't makes it that much better when they do. My wife picked up her MCS about a week ago and she can't believe the smiles and waves from even non-MINI drivers she gets.

I think it's all on location, in AZ lots of people waved back, California (same as a previous post) they're too good or on their cell phones and now I'm in small town NC where I think they just don't know any better. Prime example would be a fellow who was in my Salon and I excitedly talked to him about his MINI. He was quite sure of himself when informing me that the 2007 body style was the same as the previous years, it's the 2008 that will change...then after I politely corrected him he tried to tell me that there is only on orange convertable in the whole United States...(hangs head in shame)
ooooh people are so silly hahaha

I still wave no matter what, some times I go out of my way to look silly and make them feel uncomfotable if they don't wave back.

it's about 60/40 in favor of wavers around me.

I think about 1/2 those that don't are either not very observant (didn't see me until the last second passing and then I see as I'm going by) or they just don't know any better. Pour souls.

More from non-MINIs than non-wavers. Kindered spirits, I guess. Each kis earning Karma towards their future MINI, I guess.

There are a couple very regular MINI-driving wavers who now recognize me at work and I'm now getting honks and waves in the (very non-MINI) company car. I like that.

I think there has to be some sort of karmic balance at work here. I've come across two MINIs since I went with the Milwaukee MINIs in a local Independence Day parade (lots of waving there) and neither of them waved. The driver of the first MINI had a blank look on her face and the driver of the second MINI was on his cell phone. *shrug*

I'm pretty sure that people that don't wave back aren't aware of this "procedure"
Dealers or MINI USA should run some kind of background a**hole check (especially in Los Angeles) of people who buy MINIs. And if they find out that they are a**holes give them the boot, point them to the nearest benz dealer or something.

I get very few waves back, but the few I do receive make it worth my while to continue The Wave. The other day on the way to work I was coming upon a PW/B R56, and as I passed I waved to him and he waved back through his open sunroof. Yay!

Non-wavers are either on their cell phone, are dudes that are probably "too cool" to make silly gestures, or young chicks who think the car is cute and nothing more. Argh!

I need to join a club. I crave enthusiasm!

So then it's kind of like adopting a puppy from the animal shelter. I like it!
