I'm new to NAM but have been lurking for awhile. I never thought I would ever join a car forum because I thought a car was just a car to get to point A to point B. However, the mini has changed all that

I placed my order on 4-30 and have been scheduled for production week 20! That starts 5-14, just a couple days away. Is anyone else in production week 20?

The process seems to be running smoothly *fingers crossed* Just very anxious to get my mini Everyone around me is hoping for that day very soon so I will stop talking about it.

BTW, I ordered the MCS in auto, laser blue metallic, white roof, chrome package, premium package & convenience package, a major upgrade to my existing boxy old suv!

I ordered on April 29 and was hoping to get week 20 production but I have no confirmation of that. From where did you get the confirmation of your production week?

 

We order 5/5. Got lucky with the slot being open.
Our MINI is scheduled for 5/20 start. Miniusa still doesn't have or dates or VIN listed, but the rest of the data looks good.
Time has stopped!

 

I ordered 5-04 and ask mini told me my production would be complete 5-15, I was delighted

I got my production week from calling 1-866-ask-mini and talking to someone. The website seems to take forever to update.

 

It looks like your close to me in Bryan. I live in Austin. Where did you buy your mini? I got my in SA. I can't believe San Antonio would have a dealership and not Austin. That's the only downfall is having to drive to another city to get the mini serviced and maintained.

 

Howdy KEK. We ordered from MINI of the Woodlands. That would be a pretty good pull for you, but they are a great dealership.
I just got off the phone with Ask MINI and discovered I am in the wrong week. Production started TODAY!!!!! WooHOOO!
They said they should be through with the little tyke by the 18th.
I am absolutely giddy.

 

Mine has a completion date of the 17th, so we could be on the same ship coming over. Do you think they will come through galveston port or another port?

I heard good things about the woodlands but SA is so much closer. I haven't had any problems with them. They did try and charged me $2500 ordering. I said no way, I'm just paying MSRP and would go to another dealership. They quickly changed their tune.

 

Just find out that my MINI is in production this week too!

 

I went into my dealer and did the build on 5/10 and was quoted a week 21 production. Shortly after though I received a email from MINIUSA with my production code and VIN. I just phoned 1-866-ASK-MINI and found out my car should finish production tomorrow! Woohoo! Sounds like I'm definately in this group of production.

 

Mine is in the paintshop with a completion of the 17th. So now the tracking of the boat comes......still no info in regards of what boat i'm on.

 

Just talk to my MA and found out I'm in Production Week 20 also!

Ordered the car on 5-5-07, and was told it started production yesterday 5-16-07!

Next step, we get to see what ship it's on! :P

ordered our mini in st. louis May 4. got product.# & vin from MA on 4/15
found out 4/18 awaiting transport !
so production occured while I was sleeping ?
do they have cars in reserve or is production that quick & or efficient?

 

I have been changed to awaiting transport as well

 

My MINI was in the paint shop yesterday with a production completion date of 5/18. Today I phoned and its awaiting transport! YAY!

 

Hopefully we are all on the Falstaff which leaves port on 5-21-07

I'm not familar with the boats etc. I know it leaves South Hampton, but which ports do they use in the states? I've read NY, South Carolina and one on the west coast that goes through the panama canal. I live in Texas. Would my boat go to South Carolina? I saw the schedule and there is a very limited amount of boats that go to Galveston from South Hampton, next one isn't until 6-4-07. Or would I be on that one? Does anyone have a clue? My MA is a young complete idiot and was his first sale. He has no clue on getting this info. However, he is giving me free mats so I can't complain too much. I'll just come here for info and disregard the MA.

 

They all leave Southampton and the port that your car is shipped to I think is dependant on where you live. I know because I am in Florida, Scarlett will be received in Charleston, South Carolina. Looking at the schedule I am guessing she might arrive on LIBERTY which departs 5/26/07. I could be wrong and hopefully soon my MINIUSA info will update to let me know.
