Didn't see one of these forums yet... so figured I better start one... because I sure need support

Wondering if anyone was quoted the Week 23 Production line?

I ordered my car on 4/29. But I was bummed to find out that some people who ordered a week before I did may be getting their cars by the end of this month, and some of them also lived in the west coast...

If you're part of this Production group... when did you order your MINI's...

 

Yup, my Mini is scheduled for week #23. Makes our Minis twins!
Initial order was placed in early April with the final version (methinks the 20th try!) on 04/27. Nice specs btw!

 

Even though I placed my order nearly a month ago, Mini won't build my car until week 23 because I ordered the Audio Package (HiFi, Sirius and HD) which isn't scheduled for release until June 7.

 

man... i didn't even get the cool HiFi stuff that you guys got... but i'm glad to know i'm not alone in this group!!!

 

I ordered on April 19th and called Ask Mini two days ago and they said I was scheduled for week 23 too! My MA said it might be here in late June, July, or even August!!!

Okay here are my specs. Laser blue/W, bonnet stripes, Convenience, Audio and Cold Weather packages, auto tranny (the leg and back injury did in any hope for a manual), DSC, xenon lamps, rear fog lights, 16" bridge spokes, black lounge leather, chrome line interior, auto AC, anthracite headliner, piano black int, MFSW. I'll probably add the clear bra to the car as well, even thought the cost is semi-absurd.

who would be the more reliable source... AskMini or the MA???

 

i tried to ask my MA to remove the bonnet stripes fr my order two weeks after i placed my order, because i was interested in buying from MightyStripes.com. i didn't tell my MA that i was interested in buying elsewhere. but he told me that it was too late to change the order. i'm a little confused since it's not even being produced yet... then he said that we could remove them once my mini came in, but i would still have to pay for the stripes...

i could've made a big stink about it... but i left it alone. i know i just gave in.... but i don't want to mess with my order. i'm going to elaborate more on my roof anyways with checkers... anyways... if something goes wrong with the stripes w/in 4 years, i'm covered with the warranty...

I ordered the same day you did. ASK-MINI still doesn't have a production week for me. I don't think anything I ordered would cause my production to get pushed back. I guess I'll have to bug my MA again about it :(

your signature states you ordered 4/19... nevertheless, i wonder why AskMini didn't give you a production week? i was actually given 26th week the first time i called (about a week a week after i ordered). then later i was given 23rd week. yah... ask your MA... did your MA put the order through? then call AskMini again...

Do any of you have a specific production date at this point?

 

i was only told that mine would be built on the 23rd week... so anytime on the week of June 3rd. when i actually get to hold the steering wheel in my hands... that's a different story...

 

When I called AskMini yesterday for the hundreth time they said my car was to be produced either the first or second week of June. I'm listed as still on order in the owners lounge.

 

It seems to be official now. ASK-MINI finally told me I'm in production week 23. My MA said I was bumped back. She thought I would be in week 20. ASK-MINI said even though they have a week listed now, my production could be later than that.

I was quoted 8-9 weeks from order to delivery by my MA but it looks like it's going be 12-13 weeks. Maybe with the way orders are placed, things can be this unpredictable. The bright side of this, if there is one, is that the factory gets three more weeks to iron out problems on the assembly line before they build my car

 

On the Owner's Lounge, I'm still listed as "On Order" too. I think it won't change until the 23rd week, when it actually starts production.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that there still aren't any week 21 or week 22 threads? The week 20 thread is a bit light also. It's as if there's a lull in the production schedule.

 

I talked with my MA earlier tonight and it seems some slots for week #22 have opened up. She wasn't too sure if my car would be bumped up or not.

 

Just told first week in june which I guess makes it week 23. Still hoping for mid June delivery

 

While the realist in me is saying something quite different, I'll stand side-by-side with you hoping for that mid-June delivery date!

 

i know... before i started this, i only saw up to a week 18... i joined that thread, but then i got jealous, because their cars are on ships already .... aren't the week 21 and week 22 curious to know what's going on? but yah.. if there are openings on week 21 or week 22, would they bump us up???
