Fujimi Cooper S model

Just finished this one and thought I'd share. Pretty good quality, although not as nice as a Tamiya. The kit started out as a yellow body with a black roof and white wheels.

Can you post where we can buy this ...

I searched the net, but did not find the model... just some websites that have things. Some were out of the country...

Thanks!

Looks nice! I ordered mine from Hobby Link Japan. They're priced at $19.60, or $21.32 for the Italian Job versions. The IJs have sunroofs and aero kits. Shipping's not too awful...I got 5 kits and some other stuff totalling $120 and the two boxes were shipped for $26.94. Best Hobby charges $30 per kit don't they?

So here's where I am with my first one. Just finished rubbing out the paint the other night. Building this one as an iridescent orange Dragon slayer!

'fraid not Sid, I robbed them from an Accord touring car along with the brakes, cut about 3/16" from the back and used tires from the new Revell Acura tuner kit. The Fujimi kit tires are too wide to tuck in the fenders with the lowering job I did to it.

Actually I was looking at your article in MM2 last weekend when I realized where I got the inspiration for the wheels and their color!

Darn... I'll have to stick with finishing my 1/10 Mini RC...

Wow, Squirlz - I could only wish that my model looked that good. Based on the shelves of kits in the background, you've built a few before.

What product do you use to rub out the finish? Is there a compound, or do you use #2000 paper? I can never get spray paint to dry to a smooth finish.

Very impressive!

Some of you may have seen the 1/18 scale MCS Cabrio I had on my dash at AMVIV. I got that model from www.collectiblediecast.com. I actually picked it up directly from them on my way into AMVIV. They are located in Alhambra, CA. Here is a link to their website:

OctaneGuy these are plastic kits.

Thank you Goose. I've been building since I was a kid and I am now....well, not a kid. I use double sided foam polishing pads that I get from Micro-Mark. 6 pads from 2400 to 12000 grit (yes twelve thousand). Then Novus cream polish to finish. Paint is frustrating for me and I feel like I got lucky on this one.

Lots of nice detail on yours!
