It has been sometime since I have posted anything on NAM. I have had some serious health problems to deal with and therefore didn't have the time or energy to post any comments.
I did want to let you all know that I have however been reading the diecast forum religiously and it has been a huge moral booster. I loved reading everybody's post and seeing their new finds.
Well I'm back to almost 100% and ready to start hunting for new MINI's.
Glad to be back and good to see everyone is still collecting.
Regards,
Bob

Shoot me your address again. I've purged my PMs and I don't have it anymore. I've got an extra set (red and blue) that I'll send you.

Seeing CHILI RED!
I've been looking for a company that produces a 1:18th scale die cast model of the 2007+ (R56) MINI Cooper in Chili Red with a white top and NO sunroof. 5-star blaster wheels would be a bonus. Gee, I'm not TOO picky, am I?
I found one called Kyosho that produces one in silver and green, but not in red. Can anyone help?

I actually got it at the Tower of London gift shop! I haven't seen it anywhere else. You could see if they have a website. I think I'll check that out also.

Jada (aka Dubs) makes a decent R56 that's not to pricey.Originally Posted by AvidMINI

I got one from here for $13.49 + shipping. But not with your rims.
Seeing CHILI RED!
Thanks for the information, ChubbyChecker. That's a good find. I'm not too keen on the wheels, but for that price I could pick one up and get replacement wheels from my local hobby shop.

Wow, what do you know? Here's the MINI ornament, page 2:

That's a very cool discovery, Kentiki. Thanks for sharing the link.
I could hang that from my rear view mirror! I would hang it on my Christmas tree, but I stopped putting up trees years ago. Apartment dwelling has it's limits.
But while I'm on the subject, let me share a pic of a display case I have of some other wonderful BRITISH imports: my Space:1999 Eagle Transporter die casts.

Given my track record, I'm going to HAVE to devote a shelf to a MINI diecast collection!

Thank goodness it comes in 1:24. I've limited myself to 1:18 or 1:64 because of my limited space. As cool as this is, I'm not as tempted. LOL!Originally Posted by ChubbyChecker

AWESOME COLLECTION!! I loved that show when I was a kid. I had the biggest crush on the girls with the purple hair:Originally Posted by AvidMINI

Too cool. Yeah, actually "UFO" ran in 1969-1970. I think the purple wig was part of the moonbase personnel's required uniform. The UFO and the Interceptor appear on the bottom shelf, while the Eagles of various configurations occupy the upper shelves.
"Space: 1999" didn't have any purple-haired beauties, but it did feature a woman who could transform into any kind of insect or animal. And it had some amazing special effects!
As you probably know, Brit Gerry Anderson and wife Sylvia produced these shows, along with The Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, and other "supermarionation" shows featuring a bunch of puppets. S:99 and UFO were their first live-action sci-fi shows.

My Wal-Mart has LOUSY selection, and I live 50 miles from other major chain stores.Take the high road
Found this brand that I've not heard of before at Colpar Hobbies in Aurora (Denver), Colo. and bot it for $3.20. I have not seen this brand before, but there is a Dutch website. Can't find the scale, but it seems like about 1:45 (slightly larger than Matchbox). Average detail but better than average wheels and tires (IMO).
