1/10 scale R/C Mini: is it any good?
Has anyone seen this 1/10 scale R/C Mini? I am wondering about its quality. It's not expensive for such a big model--nearly 2 feet long.

[QUOTE=smokey4]I think it's closer to 1/6th scale and it's a blast! Toys-R-Us has them for around $79 so that price looks good, but I've seen lower then his BIN price on eBay, so it might be worth looking around some more.

Thanks, Smokey! You're right, of course--it's 1:6. Thanks for the great photo. I can find it at several places via Google and eBay. Best deal seems to be www.censuspc.com: $50 plus $24 (for the East coast) shipping. All originate from the same Chinese maker, and are packaged by various wholesalers. I'll get one--don't know where I'll find room for it. I'll be sure to get the beer too.

Is everyone looking out for the new Matchbox Superast MINIs? They have hit eBay. Nice DS but it's got a white roof

From what I've been able to find out (please no commentary concerning my spending vast amounts of time researching little tiny cars ) In the good old days you could tell a WL from a non-WL by the tires only. They would either be completely white or say "White Lightning" on them. Now a days, they might have a white interior and rims & tires, or a white interior and just rims, or even a white underside (base) and rims with a normal interior color. I have a red one at the house that has a white base & rims only and it differs from the other one from the same release. I'll throw some pics up tonight.
I picked up one of those too, great price wasn't it? What made me go searching was an ad on ebay for a WL MINI that showed the "Big Lots" price sticker of $1.99. Our local store had a few JL, but no MINIs or WL's.
To our Hotwheels gurus: What is the importance of a "K-Mart" version? With the latest HW (#140 black w/white) I picked up a few from Wally World and Target and just the other day found some at K-mart and can't find any difference between them, yet the fine folks at eBay keep touting, "K-mart Variations". Anyone got a hint? BTW, I have a few extras if anyone is looking for them, as always cost (~$0.88) and cheapest shipping you want.

THERE IS NO DIFFERNCE BETWEEN WHAT YOU FIND AT K-MART OR WALMART. THE SAME CAR WAS FOUND IN THE CASES AT THE K-MART DAYS AS WHAT WALMART GETS IN THERE SHIPPMENTS. THERE ARE NO VARIATIONS BETWEEN THE 2 STORES AT ALL.
so don't get scammed by these people out there thinking it's something new or different.

Score at Wal-Mart
I went tonight to pick up a few things for my wife and just ran throught the toy department looking to find the HW 140, but it wasn't on the shelf. Instead I found the Matchbox 12!! Yessss.
On my way out I took a quick look in the bargain bin for last year's Hot Wheels and there was a 140 sitting on top. Note the smaller package card.

I stopped at Walley World on the way to work last night and found another of the MB #12. They must have just got the shippment in!
Here it is with the white one I mentioned earlier:
They also had a huge box of the little Yat Ming !:72 scale cars on the shelf, with a little digging I came up with 3 of them! 2 EB/W and 1 LY/W not bad for $1.44:
Hey DD, here is a shot of the 43rd scale shelf of nothing but the Cararamas'
Happy hunting this weekend folks!

I didn't know AutoArt made 1:14 scale models. I wouldn't doubt it.
All I've seen, lately is 1:12 and 1:18 scale as their largest sizes, even on their site, http://www.autoartmodels.com/main.html .
Good luck with your search.

It's been a long, dry summer, but...
I got a JL #12 (DS/W) at Wal-mart tonight! WOOHOOOOO!
Now for the dilema. I always figure they're toys to be played with, so I rip 'em out of the packaging with wild abandon. However, that "limited edition, one of up to 15,500" is giving me second thoughts.
Oh, also found one of the Yat Ming 1:72 scale MCSs. Cute!

I was able to find a couple more Hot Wheels 140s – one more short card and one on a regular card.

Here are my latest. so far I have font the electric blue and CR Yat Ming 1:72 scale MCSs didn't know that had a yellow one. Guess I'm on the hunt again.
The smart car at the top of this photo is from www.bimmersclinicinc.com where Randy Webb and I did the install party at this last weekend. They have everything BMW and some minis.
That 1/84 (I think) CR came out of my kookoo clock. A lot of detail for such a tiny car. I replaced the one in there with the Cararama 1/72 repainted to look like the classic I like.
BTW I still have some of the 1/72 Cararama set left if anyone is interested.

Something else to be on the look out for:
A new HW treasure hunt in the old style. This one is out of Germany, but maybe one of our HW experts (hint bobbie) could tell us if this is also a stateside release.
