Wagnbat California Traffic

I drove cross country on 5 Feb, arriving in California on the 9th. This video was taken the night of the 9th after leaving Fry's Electronics (my favorite store EVAR) in La Palma, heading back to Corona, CA.

The camera was is Sony DSC-T10. Sorry for the jitter, very small camera and nothing to stabilize it during the video except the steering wheel.

I'm from California, and my hometown of Lakewood borders the 91 freeway. I'm stating facts, not "talking S**T".

Being at this point a tenth generation Californian, I think the traffic would move faster if someone would get off their butt and get the 10 plus million illegal aliens in California off the US roads and back to their own!

91 East on a Friday night? Wagnbat's video is so typical we (SoCal'rs) don't even think about it anymore. We always think our traffic is insane but I hear there are parts of the country that are even worse. I'd be nice to get/find more videos from commuters out there for comparision.

Hmmm... Wagnbat- I think you're on to something! "Commuter Videos"?

+1 but you have to hand it to them not everyone can fit 30 people in a POS van ment to hold 7 at the most.

Reminds me of traffic in Dallas Texas when I lived there!

I talked to someone who drives them daily (she doesnt pay the toll) and she said it costs $8.10 to bypass the traffic during rush hour, and the toll lane is only about 7-10 miles long, and therefore does not bypass all of the traffic, just a big portion of it.

28 day month, ~20 days of work= 20 days x$8 x2 way = $320 a month (both ways) is a LOT of money to be wasting on tolls. I guess it comes down to how much you make, and how valuble you think your time is...

That's not very nice. I don't think traffic at 9pm on a Friday night can be blamed on illegal immigration.

Ya, that is about what it looks like on Long Island going to and from NYC during rush hours. Heading west from 7am-9am and then heading east from 4pm-8pm. And there are 3 major highways going east and west, each of them looks like that. It takes about an hour to go 15 miles.

It's fun. But IMHO, there is no place in the world I'd rather live.

I've heard 20 million. When they protested by not going to work (several months ago) the traffic was much lighter; so nice of them to show us their impact.
