Can't believe slo' pokey me is the first to start this, although Jim's already posted a link to his flicker album in a different thread.

So in a nutshell, big props to Jim for tutoring me in how to take photos of cars. I still have A LOT to learn and need much more practice. I seem to be compensating for lack of skill by perseverance and LOTS of photos (Sat=2500 photos, Sun=~4700). Needless to say, I've got a bunch of sorting to do. I have found some keepers though which makes the whole exercise worth it.

Here's a few teasers:





This photo is big (314KB) and was taken for a friend who's a huge Alfa fan. If you've got bandwidth and a high-res monitor, it's worth a view.

Thanks to Mark S. and Jim who told me about turn 5 where these were taken.

Here is one of the " vinatage " cars that were tooling around . He " casually " lowered the all time Laguna Seca record by over 1.5 seconds. Its mind boggling to say the least.

Randy, I'm happy I can show you some of what you missed. It's only fair after you went through every one of your products with me while my wife gave you such a hard time.

Very nice pics ! I would love to see a front 3/4 view of the #22 Green Mini smokin the tires, just like John Rhodes! Got one ! ?

 

I've got quite a few good shots of #22 like you describe, but all without tire smoke. It was rare for any car to overcook the entry into turn #5 while I was there.
