Monterey Historic Races (race car) photos...
Can't believe slo' pokey me is the first to start this, although Jim's already posted a link to his flicker album in a different thread.
So in a nutshell, big props to Jim for tutoring me in how to take photos of cars. I still have A LOT to learn and need much more practice. I seem to be compensating for lack of skill by perseverance and LOTS of photos (Sat=2500 photos, Sun=~4700). Needless to say, I've got a bunch of sorting to do. I have found some keepers though which makes the whole exercise worth it.
Here's a few teasers:

This photo is big (314KB) and was taken for a friend who's a huge Alfa fan. If you've got bandwidth and a high-res monitor, it's worth a view.
Thanks to Mark S. and Jim who told me about turn 5 where these were taken.
More to come later...

Speednut, that first photo is absolutely awesome! I hope you don't mind, but I posted it on Mini Mania's forum here: http://www.minimania.com/web/threadi.../msgthread.cfm

Rick-Anderson, sure, no problem sharing. Please just add a link back to this thread's URL however. I've got over a hundred photos of the classic Minis alone dicing it out on the track at turn 5 and I'll be posting a few of the best ones here.
Randy, I'm happy I can show you some of what you missed. It's only fair after you went through every one of your products with me while my wife gave you such a hard time.
BTW, did you say "vintage"??? Like this?

Or perhaps this?

Or more accurately this?

My goal this past weekend was no static photos of cars in the pits and to instead focus on practice panning dynamic car shots. Still couldn't resist this one...
