Congratulations on your well deserved win! I know we've already discussed in PMs about delivery of your VacuCam Mini, so I will see you at the Dragon in a few days!
Thank you everyone for participating in this months contest. There were so many fantastic images. I hope to provide more prizes in the coming months, so keep on practicing!

Congratulations tsukiji!
I kept hoping that I'd get a few more votes to surpass you, but you always stayed a few votes ahead of me. I'll just have to try harder next month.
Thank you to everyone who voted for my entry.
For any of the folks that liked my entry, take a look in the night shots thread or in my gallery. I've posted some of the other shots taken for the April contest there.
A big thank you also to OctaneGuy for the sponsorship and the great prize!
I had the great pleasure of meeting David (DiD) and Juan yesterday and I really appreciate them taking the time out to show me new tips and tricks, plus give me new ideas. I really admire their photos and I feel very happy to be able to enter contests with such skilled photographers.
Cheers!

The good thing about the photo forum here is that no one has a corner on good photography and we can all appreciate each other's work and maybe learn something in the process.
Congrats, tsukiji!
I've got a question. These contests always have some great non-winning entries. When the contest is over, the thread, entries, photos, and results all disappear. Why do you delete the threads? Or at least keep all entries in a publicly viewable gallery?
For example if you don't have a chance to visit in the last few days of the month, you can't see any of the other entries. And often there are so many good ones.

At the end of each month the winning photo is moved over to the Monthly Photo Contest Winners gallery and we purge the monthly photo contest gallery to accept photo entries for the next month.
The poll thread gets pulled because the photos go dead after the gallery is cleaned out and it keeps the old poll from being bumped to the top of the forum.

I've just had a few instances that by the time I got a chance to check into the nam, the thread is gone and I never had a chance to see the entries. I'm just sayin' that's all
Of course I love the contest...still waiting for the "rain" and "dirty car" topics though!

I just wanted to congratulate tsukiji again on the last photo contest. I had the opportunity to meet him at the Dragon, and personally hand him his prize. Having seen his screen name, and meeting him in person, I had expected to find a Japanese, or atleast a person of Asian descent in front of me!

I wanted to be anonymous, so I chose tsukiji 3 yrs ago when I first logged on to the Owners Lounge. What can I say? I like sushi & have been to Japan a couple of times....
It was great meeting you & thanks again for the awesome VacuCam & thanks for sharing so much info about video recording & detailing. You're a class act

I used a 3D head mounted to a 6" Wood's Powr Grip vacuum cup (similar to photo). You can get everything at filmtools.com
